I did that when I was at UF lol. I had a poverty-tier studio apt right across from campus but my gf lived in a nice 4bed/4ba a few miles off campus. I just crashed with her and we used the parking at my place when we went to campus (having a private parking spot essentially on campus is invaluable in Gainesville). I didn't really pay anything at her place either, just helped her with her share of the rent sometimes lmao

It's whatever, if I had a serious girlfriend I'd do it as well.

But right now the girl I'm seeing has her own house, no roommates, so I just crash there most of the time.


The guy that lived at my place before me, literally told his gf she could live there during the summer and didn't even give my buddy (who owns the place), any notice whatsoever, he also let her keep her cat in there without my buddy knowing (he hates cats)

Well, my buddy eventually confronted him, and then eventually found out about the cat, he ended up moving out about a week later.

after 8 months I was like 'whats up with rent or some utilities?' dude paid once and I guess that was too dickish of me. Got his VA money upped and dipped right after

oh well, at least nobody robbed me when he was here haha

I tried this once at SDSU and failed miserably. My dude had an off campus apartment with assigned spots but he had no car. So I would routinely park there and walk as the parking structures are always overcrowded (they seriously sell 75k passes for like 50k spots, I'm not joking)....

unbeknownst to him and I, the numbers on the spots were identical inside and out and so I was parking in 5H on the outside, when I was supposed to be inside the garage underneath the bldg. Got my shit towed w/ the swiftness the second time I parked there, no warning nothing. Dude even left a note "that's not your spot, so we towed your ass. The Big Dog"

ya, he signed it 'the Big Dog' and then I went upstairs to confront him, saw it was two swole Marines living there and then turned around, left, and took the L of getting towed

only time I've been towed ever, shit sucked man

But yeah towing in college towns is no joke. They literally ran a towing racket in Gainesville, within 5 minutes your car was gone if it was in the wrong spot. And there were lots that weren't marked tow away zones but they dgaf

SDSU does the same
and they have mad residential streets right near campus, but you have to have a special Residential window sticker to park there. Of course nobody is told that by the school, and everyone ignores the signs, so people get towed all day, every day

shit is fucked up
 
then they double down in the actual campus housing, by having one side of the street 'no parking' for certain nights for Street Sweeping

seriously, street sweeping like it's Mary Poppins or some shit

they didn't tow for that though, just gave out tickets

I get legitimately upset when I see people put him above Marino in the ATG QB rankings, like I actually have to take a step back for a minute and control my emotions.

Yeah I got my car towed on campus for parking in a gravel lot near a lake with a bunch of other cars. No tow away zone signage on any level. I go to the tow company (there was one in the city that had a monopoly) tell them there was no sign and they give me some bullshit "well you have to square that with the university, we can't release your vehicle until we get paid for the tow" so I pay them then the next day take it up with the university and basically get the hard runaround from them. Full time student and working I didn't have time for that bullshit so I just dropped the issue
