This is easily the worst storm I've ever seen hit the islands. I remember what Marilyn and Hugo did to the VI and what Luis did to Antigua. It was unimaginable. This is far worse. Hoping to God it stays off the coast of Florida. And fuck Jose. That motherfucker better get north.

Are herpes on the mouth the same as STD herpes? I always assumed they were different strains with different causes, but since I don't have either I've never looked into it.
Yeah HSV1 and HSV2, oral and the sexual variety

HSV1 can actually spread to the eyes and look gnarly

Glad I don't have to worry about that shit anymore.

Our school was always known for having really hot, slutty, rich girls.

When they did the blood drive at our school, they had to throw over 40% of the blood donated out.

I didn't go to the game, but at the rivalry football game, I heard the signs from the other teams fans were pretty fucking hilarious.

Lmao at all the herpes knowledge itt

HSV is actually really useful. Since it is great at getting into the nucleus of cells and making copies of itself it is an often used method of delivering payloads of genes into cells for therapy and drug development work.

TRD do you think HIV is a virus? Obviously it's identified as a virus but do you think it actually is?

I'm not an immunologist but my understanding is that it is widely accepted that HIV is a retrovirus.

Has it ever been isolated? HIV as a retrovirus?

I'm not trying to put you on the spot, I've just read some hypotheses regarding HIV and AIDS that differ completely from the commonly accepted explanation, e.g. HIV might be a bacterial disease or it may not even be the sole cause of AIDS

*I have my own theory that HIV is an evolved form of "super" syphilis, but that gets automatically laughed at by people who aren't as smart as me

But srs I did argue with mi hermano about this a few years back when he was still in med school. I just can't remember the gotcha fact I nailed him on that he couldn't explain, I think it had something to do with how T cells behave

HIV was made to keep population levels in control. There's actually a cure for it but you either have to be important or rich to get it.

You're not putting me on the spot. This is outside of my domain of expertise. Your theory sounds like the "AIDS is caused by gay bowel disease" theory.

Are you thinking about the guy (and I forget his name) in the early 90s who challenged other immunologists on the assumption that HIV is the cause of AIDS? IIRC he was a legit immunologist and asked uncomfortable questions of other researchers.

I think that stuff has been settled. Not everyone responds to the HIV in the same way.

Here is a fun fact, they've found a new super-aggressive strain of HIV that leads to AIDS much faster than the established strains of HIV that most would be familiar with. IIRC they found it in Cuba ... just a heads up faust.
