Since you were in the military don't they have programs that help you out? Like having to put a lower down payment or better interest rates? I really don't know so I'm just asking.
yes, they have the VA home loan guarantee

get the VA loan rate (3.3-3.6% currently), which is backed by the VA (so they pay half if you default). You also don't need a down payment, and even w/o the 20% down payment you also don't have to pay PMI if you're a disabled vet
They also can't charge you a fee for paying off early, and closing costs are limited or removed altogether

That's a pretty sweet deal.

I was up til 3am boozing on Saturday and still feel it today. Getting old sucks

Gunt's problem is trying to afford a home and still drop 2k per month to support his lethal pots habit.

it does have to be your primary residence tho

so you can't use it to then rent that house out. Although i know people that do until they get caught haha

Yeah but that's pretty normal for perks to only apply to your main residence

Why haven't you jumped all over this yet? Sounds like a good deal.

i was unsure if i was going to stay here, but now that i am.....You're right.

I've just been slacking. Plus we don't have the greatest selection, either newer overpriced houses, or older shanty ones

Glad to hear that we can count on 29 Palm stories for years to come.

Here's a good one from my hood.

On Saturday morning I heard yelling in front of my place. I go outside and see a bunch of white trash people arguing and this one chick with black eye is cursing everyone out and saying that they get her rolled on the other day.

She proceeds to rip out a mace canister and sprays the entire fucking group lol.

I cruised redfin and only found one house over $250k. There are a lot cheap homes, wow!

Is there a nicer place 15mins away?

hey hey hey
it was 1280 haha

Actually cut that down to half that over the last six months.

I feel like cardio helps me with hangovers...like being in decent shape reduces their half-life considerably. That and pedialyte. Lol

It's the sweat, if you can fuction enough during your hangover to run a few miles, take a shower after and you will most likely feel 10x better.

yes, Yucca Valley is the same size, but it's the intersection of our HWY 62 and the one that comes from Victorville/Barstow so it has way more businesses and nicer houses. That's where the Walmart, Home Depot, Applebees, Steak n Shake, etc... all are

This just made me so sad.

I'll pour one out for you next weekend Gunt. Might as well be terminally ill, just awful news.

some chick knocked on my door yesterday ( i was smoking, so it was slightly ajar) and asked if i had a phone to use

Reluctantly i let her use my cell phone, and she proceeds to call i don't know a probation officer or something and starts getting into this crazy argument.

Let it go for like five minutes then i was like 'uh, what's good w/ my phone" she apologized, handed it back and started trying to ask me questions, give me a sob story, etc...

I coldly said 'man that sucks, good luck w/ that' and shut the door.

No casing my spot, no thanks
edit: and no, i didn't even consider getting grimy. Chick was crazy, clearly on drugs, and kinda beat tbh

I knew there was a better use for the bear spray that I turned in after my mountain hiking vacation in August :(

Couple advil, electrolytes and the devils lettuce is all you need
Advil/Tylenol doesn't help me at all lol pedalyte and a good run and you're good.

Withdrawals is a whole different thing tho, but I don't think anyone itt has that big of a drinking problem to go thru all that.
