Say what you want about Walmart

Here's what I want to say about Walmart:

I usually go early, get in then get out, and it's pretty painless that way
I started doing that when the plandemic hit and have kept it up ever since, except for the one time I stupidly went in there at 9 PM or so and the next day got infected with what I suspect was COVID 19 for the first and only time.

Great place. What's worse? Saying it's ok if you clock out or needing to put this on the outside of the stall by the urinal?

I gotta be honest, I think thats a fair policy

I know the corporate greed angle completely. But they're fantastic. I live in the middle of nowhere where I depend on Amazon for everything. 3 days for a laptop power supply I broke tripping a couple of hours ago. Walmart delivered it in half an hour for $4.95 delivery charge.

I think the 6/7 years I lived in San Jose I avoided it like the plague and probably went there 6/7 times. But the one here's not bad at all.
Is everything (even socks and underwear) locked up behind glass like it is in Oakland/San Fran?

There are no Walmarts near by, so I use Costco and Amazon
What part of the country do you live in where you are near a Costco but not Walmart? That's like a unicorn statistically speaking.

Walmart is very location dependent.

I have been to stores that have been wonderful shopping experiences (clean, well stocked etc.) and I have been to stores that are absolute shit shows (Dearborn Michigan Walmart, I'm looking at you).

They have really upped their online delivery options as well. Like Amazon, they now partner with Uber/Lyft drivers to get you orders super quickly (assuming you are willing to pay the same day premium).

There's a Lotta bad ones in Wayne County, I'm legit curious where the one you were at is located.

I'm in livonia, the one right by me is a gladiatorial arena that I don't go to unarmed and try really hard not to go to period but once in a while you are making something for dinner and you are missing something and it's right across the street. But the last few years meijars and Kroger near me have also become super ghetto so you can't really avoid it.

@fingercuffs If you live in the SoCal desert and ever visit Joshua Tree you need to hit up the Yucca Valley Walmart. It was straight out of the Hills Have Eyes.

JT is my spiritual place, spent a week there in an Airstream. Also my favourite album.

No that was aids

I know people say how trashy Wal-Mart is, but their grocery pickup is awesome. I try to avoid going into the store like the plague. I just order everything online, pick a location and time, pull up to the grocery pickup stalls, and the associate loads everything into the car. I'm out pretty quickly. I bought a Wal-mart + subscription this year for half off.
