Media Sandhagen's Brand

Corey’s Sandbox
The premier MMA lifestyle brand

He should try dyeing his hair pink

"Sean O'Malley in the 9th grade is like 10 times better than Cory Sandhagen was yesterday." Fuckin great

Least he has a sense of humor. I'll give him that. Too bad Sean will always be one win away from another title shot.
Haha, Sean didn't even need one win for this one

What is Sandy going to do to elevate his brand? Start talking trash? Smoke cigarettes? More tattoos?
Win consequential fights? 5-4 in his last 9 fights, including an interim title loss, 2 title eliminator losses, and not doing enough to get the decision in the Dillashaw comeback fight that was a de facto #1 contender's match.

I’ve always liked this guy. 😂 I wouldn’t be surprised if Sandhagen earned himself a title shot in the next year. He could be one big win away from one.

Goes from fighting for the interim belt to beating #10 Yadong, #3 Chito, & #7 Font.
After beating #3, who got the shot? 3 years retired Cejudo.
Then after the Font fight, who gets next shot? #6 ranked Chito, who Cory already beat, coming off a single win over #10 Munhoz.

It's not really the fights being consequential or not, it's definitely other people getting the advantage for name value, and Cory's losses/injuries are more matters of bad timing.

Cory has had some tough luck. The straight up robbery against Dillashaw, him having to fight Umar and the UFC giving Vera a TS after Cory dogwalked him less than a year prior

Corey got a lot of unwarranted cache for KO’ing the ghost of Frankie. Game, yes. Fun to watch, yes. But I never thought he was elite.

Cory seems like the ginger version of Dominic Cruz. Sounds almost identical. Wonder if Cory has the same perceptiveness as Cruz at identifying people who smell like cheap beer and cigarettes?
