Sade vs Cardi B

Its weird how they are doing this, you notice this man? They only promote and push stereotypical ignorant hood blacks and minorities, why not let the normal, educated talented black singers with amazing musical talent who dont do drugs shine? I find it racist they are pushing this on to the mainstream.

I agree that she is being pushed hard. Everyone is cutting her slack even though she has ghost writers and steals her flows, admittedly. But I don’t blame racism, unless you want to classify it as black on black racism. From what I can tell, the black community is behind her. She’s been on both Hot 97 and the Breakfast club multiple times. They call her the hottest in NY. People say a W for Cardi is a W for NY. People are even jumping off Nicki to side with Cardi even though there’s no real beef.

This is also part of the current trend that Beyonce is the greatest female singer of all times. Also has Beyonce and Adele on multiple charts as having albums in the top 10 of all time for groups that had women in them or women solo performers.
Sade to the best of my knowledge never chose to become politically active or do anything above and beyond perform. She also didn't walk around with her cellulite hanging out a pair of booty shorts (from what I could see in her prime she didn't even have cellulite).

All I've learned from this thread is Bernie Sanders is just as bad as Donald Trump if he's taking advice from an entertainer, just think Bernie probably would have promoted her to sec of labor after her tweet the same way Trump hires someone based on what they said on television or some form of social media.
I really don't understand the Beyonce worship.
I don't see her as an exceptional talent, nor does she have an exceptional voice.
Whitney Houston, Mariah, Celine...i get..Beyoncé?
She's hot, wears short shorts, and shakes her ass a lot. Not getting the adoration. Plenty of hot singers out there with catchy pop hits

Because they know hoodrats have flash, charisma, and are relatable to young people. A huge demo for the industry.

It is annoying though. Every time you see a black person in the entertainment, chances are they're doing this hoodrat schtick. It directly lead to this attitude that if you don't talk and act ghetto you're not "black enough"

Like they really convinced an entire race that they have these ridiculous limitations. I didn't want to be a hoodrat, so a lot of my younger years was people telling me I "talk real good for a colored fella"

Like any one race has a monopoly on proper grammar.

Who...cares? Who...bastank?

I don't blame racism either. Cardi B is riding on the success of Minaj, imo. It's more about pushing female rappers because that's what sells. The hot hoodrat talking about dumbshit is going to bring more eyes and attention than the girl with the afro and turtleneck sweater rapping about real shit

I miss the days of the Lauren Hills and Erykah Badus...shit, I'll even take Eve or Missy Elliot
Instead we're praising skanks for "having the courage" to rap about how much they like to get their pussy eaten out.
<{cruzshake}>

The skank empowerment movement is always hilarious. Chicks judge guys on every single thing they do.

Then these same hos turn around like oh I've banged 87 guys. Is that a problem, I thought you liked me? Yeah bitch I didn't know you built a freeway onramp into your vag.

It's annoying as shit. Because hip hop and movies have convinced the world that we all talk like 50Cent or something.
I live in Asia now, and i meet Korean and Japanese dudes that are into hip hop, and they'll come up to me when im out at a bar or something like "yoooooo, waddap my bro. Yea, yea, Let's get it son. Check it"
Cringe city...but i can't even blame them. They just doing what they are seeing
<2>

why is this no talent guttersnipe being pushed so much? she's horrible.
She sucked nuff Iilluminati dick and ate Illuminati pussy. They gave her fame. If she makes some blood sacrifices or fucks with kids, shell really get a promotion.

I've gotten so much shit from both white and black people because of it. When I was in my late teens all my friends called me the whitest black guy they know.

Oh my bad motherfucker. I thought I was allowed to be my own person like everyone else. It's especially annoying because I grew up in white ghettos, not black ones. So if I carried myself like that I would be a complete fake.

Marketing. Beyonce has a powerful marketing machine behind her. Whitney Houston had an incredible voice, what a waste of talent. Celine pretty much the same, but she is definitely weird. Mariah, her vocal range is impressive and all, I think she's diminished herself by instead of just singing and let us discover her talent she has to constantly validate herself and I think it detracts from her. She is incredibly talented, but it's almost as if Freddie Mercury just spent all his time demonstrating his range than actually jut being a great singer. I don't know if that even came out right, it's hard to explain.

I was talking to a friend at the gym, she just got back from China. This woman is educated out the ass, two masters degrees, had her own business now helps run an organization to promote black owned businesses; her resume is one of those that depresses you, she had me thinking "man I really wasted my life". She has dreads and is very dark skinned, she was telling me how in Shanghai they were treating her like celebrity because they'd never seen black people, wanting to get their picture with her. It all sounded good, until they asked her to rap for them.

Yeah, Whitney was just an incredible waste. I agree with your thoughts on all 3, i just find it weird that in the end, people are going to put Beyoncé's name next to those 3 legends. I guess it pretty much is just marketing

They ranked Beyonce above Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone for god sake. Two women that stood up to the test of time. Personally, you could put out the greatest album of all time but I'm not going to give you credit that it is the greatest of all time until it has aged and proven that it will hold well and not date itself. That would be like proclaiming Will Smith's "I can beat Mike Tyson" as the greatest hip hop song ever back in the 90's, no one is going to buy that shit now. i feel the same way about Beyonce although I don't think she will end up being another Aretha Franklin she will probably go down in the same category as a Diana Ross.... a poor man's Diana Ross but close enough.

LOL, sorry! I've seen the basketball thing happen too many times, Coral Springs and Parkland have a fairly decent sized black and jewish community that is pretty affluent a lot of professionals regardless of race, it's a fairly expensive area to live. So you've got the the pudgy little Jewish guy that looks like George Costanza shooting 3 pointers the whole game and everyone looks to the couple of "black guys" that work in IT and with a look of "what the hell man, you guys gonna take that?"

Lol shit is embarrassing.
I've played a couple games with the locals, as well as with other expats from the UK or South Africa. And im usually the worst player on the court.
I can feel the respect for me slowly depleting like the air out of a tire as the game goes on.
Lol everybody really does look at you like "yo..when you gonna stop messing around and start schooling these guys?"
