They're here applying for asylum. Their claim should be processed before they're set free into the country. It would probably be a lot cheaper to hire more officials to complete that in a timely fashion than having a backlog of years and having to provide long term for people who will ultimately be rejected.

I'm just pointing out that tent cities (aka refugee camps) haven't been particularly safe or healthy in the past; and the infrastructure you mention is holding facilities (aka jails).

It is Texas sending them to blue cities instead of coordinating with the government for the most cost effective solution. If they're getting money from the government for migrants and using it to charter busses to blue cities they should lose their funding.
