Why Chicago? Seriously.

Like every time people want to talk about this stuff -- "Chicago". It doesn't make sense, minorities live all over the country. When did Chicago become the go to point? Like no one discusses St. Louis with the same frequency or New Orleans or any other number of cities that primarily vote Democrat.

I noticed this years ago and in light of the things this thread is about, I'm inclined to believe that's yet another result of propaganda designed to lead some people to look at minorities as the root of their problems.

So, humor me, why should I ask minorities in Chicago and not somewhere else?

Because that's the group I saw in multiple videos complaining to their city leaders. If I had seen videos of residents from LA or KC I would have said ask them.

Btw, it was NYC mayor (minority) whining that they were getting too many to handle

Can someone quantify how much Russia spent?

The last time we got this bullshit, we found out the number was $450,000 that was spent on Social Media to create distrust in our elections. The Russian money was spent nearly equally against Trump and Hillary Clinton. It was a nothing burger, yet we had to hear Russia, Russia, Russia, from Left Cult morons for years. It didn't matter for shit, because Hillary Clinton spent over $1,000,000,000. We currently have Kamala Harris looking to spend as much as Hillary and 2X as much as Trump (like Hillary did)... so unless the Russians made some huge spend... this is all horseshit for stupid people to sling around and think they have an issue supplied to them by the Democrat DOJ.

Stunning that people think this is new. Russians have been working disinformation campaigns in the USA since the 60s. It’s just so much more prevalent and hard to pinpoint in the age of the internet.

Also, lol @ thinking America doesn’t engage in the same behaviour.

It’s not the act, it’s the team. Tribalist cans everywhere you look.

How come you guys never actually engage the positions people write? Doesn't it ever get old to you to have to what about things instead of just deal with the facts as they exist?

I'm guessing - mind you just a guess - more people asked Alexa who to vote for than were hoodwinked by this "propaganda".

I forget, does that count as election meddling?

Did you read the talking points?

Job loss for white Americans. Overspending at the expense of white Americans. Privileges for people of color.

Those are topics that minorities in Chicago were complaining about?

No, they weren't. This is what I'm referring to when I say people just say "Chicago" without any intellectual reason at all. I highly doubt that I should ask minorities in Chicago about job loss for white Americans, lol.

Yes, those 2500 views that were generated have really moved the views of the country.
That's not how propaganda works. The original works don't have to generate massive views on their own. They have to repeat a message consistently until it becomes a normalized talking point. At which point, people just repeat the point without thinking about it.

It's a tool that's especially effective on people who like to repeat things they've heard, so they sound smart, but can't apply the horsepower to work out if the things are true.

I'm not sure what this has to do with the talking points about job loss for white Americans. Overspending at the expense of white Americans. Threats of crime from people of color. These are the talking points, they're not addressed anywhere in that video.

There's a reason why black people in America aren't the target audience for those talking points. Only low IQ people who will then do exactly what was intended by the propagandists.

I doubt anyone on this forum is clueless enough to think russian interference is "new". It's more that now we have criminal indictments exposing a few well known, right wing hacks (big surprise there), some of whom are quoted here on the reg. Frankly, it's our duty as Americans to dunk on these morons.

You really think Putin is endorsing Harris? <{Heymansnicker}>

How many people out there do you think are deciding on who to vote for based on Alexa's answer? Now how many people do you think take seriously the political positions of these pundits who were funded by Russia?

That's not how propaganda works. The original works don't have to generate massive views on their own.

Nor how propaganda works in the 21st century, period. The vast majority of "views" aren't from the original source—they're from the innumerable reels disseminated endlessly on TikTok and other social media platforms.
