How about you stop building Shit-72B3s and Focus on one model. Aka the T-90

Looks similar to Dmitry Medvedev clothing. He is styling like it's 1943.

How much have we spent so far, guestimating?

Far less than what has been made on weapon sales pre-orders.

This isn't only costing peanuts to completely obliterate the US biggest foe, its also been great for weapon sales since Russians were the second major arms exporter, after the war nobody is going to want to touch Russian shit, even if they could build it in the first place.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if Ukraine would be able to make a dirty bomb in theory? Because if not and one goes off that really narrows down the suspects…

They could. All you need is radioactive material and explosives.

Game was 25 years ahead of its time!

In reality, though, I think Putin will use the "Dirty Bomb" accusations as an excuse for a more intensified bombing campaign. More drones, cruise missiles, etc.

I don't think the bombing campaign can get any more intense than it is. If the capability was there it would have been used.

They can't mass artillery close enough to anything that matters without their depots getting destroyed from Ukrainian missiles. They still don't have air superiority.

So that leaves cruise missiles and drones or longer range missiles which are both expensive and limited in use. This is Russia's ceiling for effectiveness and it's just going to keep getting lower as time goes on.

There is not some great reserve of capability Russia is holding back. They only have the threat of nukes.

This is the thread to discuss the current war taking place in Ukraine

"From Kyiv in 3-days to... "Now, don't lose Kerson."

My how things have changed in favor of Ukraine since the outset of this war.

10D chess. Russia didn't feel like they earned Kherson region so they plan to give it up so that they can feel like they deserve it.....

Also crashing planes into buildings and elsewhere prevents Ukranians from shooting them down.....truly some big brain thinking...

You mean Russia wont be doing anymore feinting? I think Putin thinks he can lie his way to victory, at best he is going to make it miserable for Ukraine to take back their country but they eventually will. This will still likely go on for some time as it sounds like Russia is digging in best they can. But at the end of the day what is this doing for Russia besides ruining them financially? They will never win this war but as long as Putin doesnt lose he will keep killing his own people just keep the fairy tale going.

Helsinki University unit for seismic activity has detected underwater explosions in Russian territorial waters. They are testing some new techniques?

Did not realize how many blondes and redheads in Iran. Iran has its own problems it seems.

"It's pretty clear that the US and it's allies could annihilate Russia in pretty short order. The only possible repercussion is the 'nuclear' threat which is most certainly a bluff.

Yes, the rest of NATO would want the US to lead but I've never seen the rest of NATO so resolute about any one issue. This isn't some Iraq invasion built on a flaky WMD claim or 'peacekeeping' in Afghanistan. I don't know the numbers but I've heard (from serving and ex-soldiers) there is quite a sizeable number of British soldiers going AWOL to help in Ukraine as well as many ex-soldiers. The British media are burying it though. I bet it's not just British soldiers either. As long as NATO sticks to pushing Russia out of Ukraine, there will be no risk of nuclear threat.

Everybody is now aware that NATO would decimate Russian forces, including Putin. As long as it's clear they just get out of Ukraine, and we aren't invading Russia, no one is using nukes."

It is one thing to fight to take another country most Russians don't give 'two-shits' about, a whole other animal when someone is invading your country. Russian conviction to defend the motherland would be as strong, if not stronger, than the current Ukrainian will to fight. This would now bring out the will to fight back that Russians had against the French and the Soviets against the Nazis. You would not have to ask for volunteers, they would join in droves.

All the British soldiers currently helping out in Ukraine are all retired. The British government has no active-duty soldiers on the ground in Ukraine. Same for American soldiers in Ukraine - all retired. I think you are underestimating the nuclear danger in this conflict. That is something no one knows for sure. Certainly not worth the risk. What makes you think Russia won't be concerned about a NATO invasion of Russia in defense of Ukraine (border-crossing)? Remember how the Chinese joined the North Koreans during the Korean war when the US got too close to the Chinese border. China managed to push US forces back South to the 38th parallel in 1953. It was a pretty good defeat for US forces. This after a great US victory in Europe and the Pacific theater in WWII. Both Russia and China are paranoid about their border.

I don't think it's a completely fair comparison. One is money from the taxpayers while the money from the sales will go mostly to private companies that make the equipment. The government will get money from the taxes, but I'm unsure how much it will be.

Sure, but future adquisitions get cheaper and cheaper overtime due to economy of scale, one of the reasons everything is so damn expensive in the military is because too few units are made compared to commercial items.

The government will get money from the taxes, but I'm unsure how much it will be.

About one third give or take.

A dirty bomb is just a conventional bomb loaded with radioactive material to disperse around an area.

I agree with you that invading any country is a nightmare.

No country should be stupid enough to invade another in 2022 and expect things to go well.

You're wrong about British soldiers though - there are no active servicemen 'officially' there.

But there are, and it's an open secret.
