One thing to pay attention to is if Girkin changes his tone. There is a very real faction that is highly critical of how Kremlin is handling this "special operation" that are calling for all out mobilization and something close to total war.

It simply is not true.

I can't see a correlation between domestic terrorism and a dramatic U-turn on his policy with his 'Special Military Operation'.

But he will have to respond, because homeland security is obviously key to his image.

If you're right?
This is a good way for Putin to get rid of anyone who might disagree with him and gain support for his "special military operation" by blaming any "assassinations" on Ukraine.

Now that's 4-D chess.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least. There are still those who believe the Russian apartment bombings that led to the Second Chechen War were in fact an FSB operation.

Why not? Chechen stuff in Moscow really looks like was...special operation...to get next excuse for next war...

While IMHO checens anyway didn't had chance when declared sovergeinity...
Because if to be realistic nor west nor east gave a f***k about them.
Despite some pro kremlin oriented posters here even attempted to portray chechen stuff as ....U.S responsibilty and so on...like they had been sponsored etc bullshit...
Ridiculous nonsense.
West had recognised chevnya area as Russia....
In 1992, 1993 and 1994.
And they didn't gave a f***about these checens...
Like: let's live under russia and In...Russia...point here...

I think we can all agree that someone has sent a very loud message.

Putin certainly can't U-turn, but at this point his options are really limited. The longer this war goes on without a clear Russian victory, the more it becomes an existential crisis for Putin himself.

Russian history has not been kind to leaders who botch wars. He won't need to worry about external threats, between the public and the deep state - if Russia decides he is not a chosen one, to be pickled and preserved forever like holy Lenin, then he will be cancelled. Sometimes they do it politically like Yeltsin. Sometimes it's so dramatic the whole country falls apart like with Gorbachev. Other times they just quietly take you and your family into a basement like Nicholas II, and cancel you with some bullets.

He's not "Putin's brain" or even further - "closest ally" (as UK media are calling him, to make justifying blowing up his daughter more palatable for our public) either. In fact I've read he's never even met Putin.
Putin to Dugin: how do I control the Ukraine while preserving necessary infrastructure

Dugin: you must change the orientation of the nomos of the Eurasian supercontinent

Putin: thanks

<45>

Nor Gorbachev nor west had destroyed USSR.
They were communists in all USSR countries...elite.
Cos this was only one way to achieve a lot of goals: get rid of USSR rouble cos this was overprinted from real value aporox 1 vs 1 with USD till aporox 200 vs 1 USD...
And inflation like price for safety match box had increased approx 200X...
+ there sugar and vodka, soap and tobacco stamps as right to buy appeared...
---
While if USSR falls apart...Russia might introduce their own currency and seriously reduce inflation pressure and better control currency...
+ will be opportunties to get $ from the same Belarus etc for natural gas and crude oil...instead of ...roubles....

Ofc with damn huge underground economy a lot of communists weren't happy...

In one from these republics first president was former hardcore communist...
He normally told: yelling about " nationalism " Kremlin operated just excuses and roubles printing machines....while underground economy boosted each day like mushrooms in hot period after rain...

Dugina is a journalist now?

? His daughter who was blown up apparently is/ was

Darya Dugi, real name Darya Dugina, was a journalist and Alexander Dugin's daughter who died in the Moscow car bomb attack.

Looks like deNazification.

I don't think you can say she's just a journalist that represents the average Russian though. If she was involved in pushing Russian propaganda supporting their attack on Ukraine then there are many that won't shed a tear over this.

Didn't say she was a journalist that represented average Russians. From the sounds of her ideologies it's most definitely not a journalist I'd like. But there's a lot of those worldwide.

Said the condoning of her death because of who her father is Or because she ran pieces that people don't like is a bad step and creates a very bad precedent imo.

And yes. Russia and Putin do it . Don't be like them.

lol, she was a propagandist.

Correct. But overall a pretty insignificant figure in Russia. He only became a boogy man in Western media.

Hmm.

So is he hated by some in Russia?

Because logically, if a guy is a boogeyman in the West only, that suggests this action may be Western-led?
