Touche. Fair point.

But no offence old mates " reports " of Russian command leaving and Russian soldiers having low morale seems a stretch to me from a Ukrainian politician. I'm putting it in the highly dubious basket for now.

Because Western/Ukrainian intelligence in the war hasn't been very accurate up until now?

The fuck you talking about? It doesn't seem dubious at all when you consider how the war has been going.

I consider a Ukranian politician unlikely to know Russian troop movements and morale. Throughout this entire thing " western and Ukranian intelligence has been full of it. And this bit of information isn't even from intelligence agencies.. just a Ukranian politician.

Dubious to me

Give me a few examples from this war of Western and Ukrainian intelligence being full of it because that's nonsense. Our intelligence is literally what's been giving Ukraine the domination they've shown on the battlefield.

And it's not a secret what Russian forces are doing. Someone in Ukraine, especially a politician, is going to have pretty decent information. When that information matches everything else that is occurring on the battlefield, I wouldn't be so doubtful.

I'll bet you were one of those dipshits saying Kyiv was going to fall when the war started.

wasn't the minister of defense there saying some shit about a million men army?
the info from ukrainian sources is terrible.
most info from this war is just disinfo over disinfo from all sides.
claiming the ukrainians aren't doing it is bizzare.

Guy looking a little ruff around the edges like someone who seen the future and realizes it's not good.

Lol you're so far off the mark with the accusations of me thinking Kiev would fall lol.

Yes us intelligence is definitely helping Ukraine. But in the public sphere what's released in Western media is a bunch of crud.

Just to name a few of the classics. Ghost of Kiev. Snake Island. Transports of elite paratroopers shot down. Hostomel airport.

The propaganda is strong in western media. Without a doubt us intelligence knows a more accurate situation on the ground. They probably have a good idea of Ukrainian casualties id guess. Or else they know more about Russian military than Ukrainian military.. seems unlikely.

That's not what western media uses tho. Or gets passed on. I assume they'd be monitoring a few of the weapon systems at the very least. Some valuable real world testing on some of them.

This is dubious because it's from a Ukrainian politician regardless

You do realize it's now called Kyiv? It's dubious that you want to pretend to understand how the war is progressing but you don't even know how to properly spell the capitol of the nation involved. Only Russian sympathizers or the ignorant would call it by Kiev at this point.

It's not dubious at all when you account for the military operations that are occurring in the area. It absolutely matches with other sources of intelligence that are available.

Final point.... I always knew Snake Island was propaganda. I always figured the Ghost of Kyiv was likely multiple pilots and not a single one. The first two are pretty common military stories. Are you suggesting that there was no attempt by Russia to seize the Antonov airport? Because there's literal footage of Russians on the ground at the airport and of helicopters that were shot down. Russians definitely attempted to take it and failed. They clearly wanted to take the airport and have the logistical convoy link up to establish an airfield right next to the capitol.

No I didn't say they didn't attack the airport .. I gave it as a example of what the media ran with didn't happen as they claimed.

they took Hostomel airport for a month mate at the very beginning. Just more propaganda from western media. They fought over it for a day or 2 then it was in russian hands for a month until they withdrew.

Oh I'm a Russian sympathiser because of my spelling? Riiigggghhht.

You're arguing with me because I'm dubious of claims made by a politician in a warzone lol. Whatta world.

No I'm talking about your claims regarding these incidents.

During the initial assault on the Antonov Airport, multiple Mi-8 transport aircraft were shot down. That's recorded fact. Mi-8s are transport aircraft. What exactly do you think was inside those helicopters? You say no Russian paras were shot down though?

I don't get my information from major news stations. There is plenty of publicly available intelligence out there available. If you're getting information from second hand sources, you're getting an interpretation of battlefield facts. It makes perfect sense that leadership would move to a safer area than a contested front.

If you can send me some official reports of these transports being shot down with paras on board it'd be appreciated. Recorded fact and all. Shouldn't be hard to find a good source right? Non Ukrainian army or politician. A confirmed transport shot down with paras

Stop putting words into my mouth mate.. I'm saying exactly what I type.

Are you expecting Ukrainians to retrieve the bodies from the middle of a river? Or are you expecting Russia to be honest with their reporting of casualties?

Let me guess. You don't trust videos now? Need me to geolocate them too or something?

So no sources hey ?

Yes they've lost quite a few choppers. Never claimed they didn't. That doesn't mean they lost transports.

The Ukrainian Interior Ministry said Thursday that Ukrainian forces had shot down three of 34 Russian helicopters attacking the Antonov airport.

So try again... source for the transports shot down?

That's literally two video sources. You can clearly see the type of aircraft shot down in the video if you enlarge the video enough.

So if your argument is solely that Russia didn't report it and Ukraine didn't bother to try and recover it in the middle of a fucking river during an invasion then I don't know man.

Have a good one mate

Is that code for I've run out of arguments?

Ukraine reported it. Video clearly shows it. What more do you need?

Lol those videos most definitely don't show me transports loaded with paratroopers.. you can say they are all you want shrug. You have amazing skills being able to zoom in on these choppers to tell make and cargo..

Conversation is going nowhere. No sources at all just two youtube videos . This isn't any sort of proof helicopters full of paratroopers was shot down. Videos clearly shows it? <Lmaoo>

You mean you believe it and it suits the narrative you follow . Nothing wrong with that you do you. But that's not a source clearly showing transports being shot down full of paras .

Therefore. All the best

You can clearly see the outline of the transport helicopter struck over the Dnipro River. What the fuck you think is likely going to be loaded on transport helicopters during an initial assault on an airfield by paratroopers besides paratroopers? It's the outline of an Mi-8. You can clearly distinguish it from a Ka-52, of which some were also shot down.

What sources would you like me to produce and explain how you expect said source to be available and reliable?

Also, I'm using like a 18" monitor to watch the video, so no. It's not what I would call amazing ability. It's called using something bigger than an iphone.

how the fuck do you make out transport helicopters? Must look vastly different on pc. All I see is tiny pixel helicopters lol

Also the Mi-8 is also used as an airborne command post, armed gunship, and reconnaissance platform. Not just transport.

Don't know why you're so hung up on me being " dubious ". You expect me to believe all Ukrainians or something?

I trust Ukrainian sources as much as Russian.
I trust Russian media as much as I trust western. ( not that I can read Russian or follow any of their news ) so western media gets my focus.

forgive me for being dubious about information in a warzone being possible propaganda.

Considering the original claims were that they'd lost Ilyushin Il-76 full of paratroopers not just helicopters I'm still dubious about all claims made until weeks afterwards because so much shit has been misreported and actively used for propaganda. Even weeks afterwards its still a shit show.

Originally the claim in here was the mod confirmed a iIlyushin Il-76 full of paratroopers was shot down . ( never happened ) we've turned it into helicopters.

You asked why I was dubious. I answered shrug. What more do you want?
