Russian agent Zelensky completed his task - moved all the heavy artillery to Nikolaev region for the “Kherson counter offensive” leaving Donetsk strongholds fully unprotected.

As a result, the DPR forces started an offensive and already captured parts of Maryinka, Peski and Krasnogorovka. This means the Avdeevka stronghold might become encircled in a matter of days.

This could finally help Donetsk breath easier from daily Ukrainian shellings

You’re saying Donetsk forces might do that in a city where their children live ? Nah. Ukrainian regime became openly terrorist as they suffer catastrophic losses on the battlefield they are trying to cause damage as much as possible eve it has no effect on opposing military

Russia can't win, now its just about trying to save face.

I doubt they can even convince their own public of any kind of victory.

Since 1945 Russia has telling it's people it has the most powerful military in the world, yet six months in and they still don't hold the two border provinces which they'd already mostly annexed before the "speshul operation" even started.

Can you imagine transposing the same scenario to the States? USA attacks mexico, and six months in, they're still struggling to take Baja and Sonora, with the taskforce that attempted to reach Mexico City defeated and evacuated; and the death toll being hidden but suspected to be a 5 figure number. Would anyone consider that a satisfactory result?

Russia can afford to continue the war of attrition for years - it’s got the economy, resources and weapons to do so. Europe is already tired of this conflict and their support for Ukraine is dwindling down.
Once the winter cold hits Ukraine and Europe, they are in serious trouble.

Also, what do you define as Russian win ? If the Russians take Donbass, Kherson, Odessa and Kharkov, that sounds like a dominant victory to me

Its not logical but i generally add "russia be russia" factor in.Never know whats in gennadis head.
