Smaller attacks by Russia. Change in tactics or the effect of low supplies?

They are trying to exploit breaks in Ukranian defenses and encircle their units. They were Trying to create one big "cauldron", but they were unable to get a breakthrough far enough to the west. Since they managed to capture Popasnaya, they have been trying to create many small cauldrons, by advancing in many directions. According to Ukranian insider telegram channels, the Ukranian general staff wants retreat from Severdonetsk to avoid encirclement, but Zelensky wont let them.

2014 most likely will be 45 nm or 65 nm if from China.

The biggest difference is that stuff like Elbrus...
It is not easy to manufacture even with 65 nm or 90 nm tech...

Russia does have shortages with lithium supplies from china since april. Did get almost 0 cos covid.
Even bank cards chips deliveries heavily struggled 7 weeks cos...Covid...

Live updates | Putin complains about barrage of cyberattacks

"MOSCOW — Russian President Vladimir Putin says his country has faced a barrage of cyberattacks from the West amid the invasion of Ukraine but has successfully fended them off.

Speaking Friday to members of Russia’s Security Council, Putin noted that “the challenges in this area have become even more pressing, serious and extensive.”

He charged that “an outright aggression has been unleashed against Russia, a war has been waged in the information space.”

Putin added that “the cyber-aggression against us, the same as the attack on Russia by sanctions in general, has failed.”

He ordered officials to “perfect and enhance the mechanisms of ensuring information security at critically important industrial facilities which have a direct bearing on our country’s defensive capability, and the stable development of the economic and social spheres.”

When all of the cyberattacks were being waged against hospitals, schools, and businesses in the West, Russia was as silent as a church mouse. Now that they're on the receiving end, things are unfair?

Did he give them on the spot guidance ?

It has only a 5km range and limited repeatability. One 30km round could take it out.

Looks that loves Mariupol story like sagas...

Imho they should had digged trenches and in multiple lines where they assume that will be able to defeat frontline.

Not like with Mariupol; easily allow Russia to reach city, then use marines, ants - volunteers, even local policemans plus of course....famous azov to be used as mices in trap.

Then portray surrounding as " evacuation " and talking nice talks about future POWs swap etc bullshit...
Ofc stupid westerners WANT to believe russia's propaganda version about " bad azov " cos they are dreaming that fuel soon will be cheap.

While not all had surrounded and. ..stuff in Azovstal basements continues...

Ofc nor ukr gubbermint nor russia or west ever will care about casual ants.

Severodonetsk might be next cry story.

To get next xxx credits, xxd support payments and etc beauties.
For Russia too everything will be cool: longer war = better for them now...
Dumbasses will accuse US and EU in everything, as predicted and dreams will continue.
Like " help " from Germany..

"OH MY GOD THESE CYBER ATTACKS!!!! Ahem, have failed..."

Vlady is about as convincing as a Brimstone missile telling you it just wants to shake hands.

Great news, and a tremendous amount of encouragement for hackers worldwide.

Also, simply ordering the enhancement of information security achieves nothing. Typical nonsense from an out of touch leader. He might as well order his troops to "just win the war".

Apparently over here there has begun a process of collecting signatures about enforcing a law that prevents pro-russian people from holding a government job.

If 10k signatures are collected, the parliament will have to discuss it.

How are they going to determine who is pro russia and who isn't?

Russia to halt gas supplies to Finland

Russia is to cut its supply of natural gas to Finland, the Finnish state-owned energy firm Gasum has said, after the Nordic country refused to pay for its supplies in roubles.

Last month, Russia demanded European countries pay for Russian gas supplies in roubles because of sanctions imposed over Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.

The move also follows an announcement that Finland will apply for Nato membership.

Gasum said the move was "regrettable", but said there would be no disruption to customers. The supply contract would end on Saturday at 7:00 (04:00 GMT), it added.

Despite the Ukraine conflict, Russia continues to supply gas to many European countries.

Finland imports most of its gas from Russia, but gas accounts for less than a 10th of the country's energy consumption.

It's actually not that hard to find people who are pro Russian heck look at Sherdog for that social media has been a huge resource in propaganda on both sides.

Yeah, that could get messy.

This is where historical pro-Russian social media posts are used as weapons against people, no?

Two MPs from the ruling United Russia party have submitted a draft bill to Russia's parliament, the Duma, that will remove the upper age limit for men to sign a contract to serve in the country's armed forces. The current maximum age limit is 40 for Russian citizens.

A note accompanying the draft law appears to justify the change by claiming that “highly-qualified specialists are needed to fire high-precision weapons and operate weaponry and armour, and experience shows that [people] become such specialists towards the ages of 40-45.”

But speculation will abound that this is the latest measure Russian authorities are employing in order to attract more men into the Army as reports of Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine continue to be published online and in local Russian media.

Russian authorities have not released official updated statistics on the number of service personnel killed in the war since 25 March.

A period of one-year military service for men is obligatory in Russia. The conscription age is currently between 18 and 27. However, many men are exempt due to their profession, education status or health. This law, however, covers “professional” soldiers, who sign a contract.

Russia needs it's veterans to help the fight in Ukraine...

But it's all going 'according to plan', and they're 'winning' <Lmaoo>

Sad reality most don't get is Russia is winning. km by km after initial FSB fail of country would roll over like Spot at first sign of Russian invasion. They didnt so Russia went into grinding artillery mode and laying waste to everything within 30km of it's path.

Once President Biden is told this he will have two choices. Give up and leave Russia controlling the most profitable parts of Ukraine, or USA vs Russia.

Sad reality is that Russia is even struggling to secure extremely small portions of land in the Donbass region after having miserably failed to take the entire Country. There are tens of thousands of reserve troops in Ukraine being trained right now, and they have a pool of 1,000,000+ men to pull from if needed. Russia has no back up coming, they are exhausted on every line, they continue to face morale issues and Russia continues to fire/arrest senior Commanders for failure on the front lines. This war is going to go on the rest of the year, and whatever land is held by Russia at the moment is going to be counter-attacked at the end of June/ early July.

How can you say Russia is winning with a straight face when they haven't and will never land lock Ukraine?

It would be more correct to say that Russia is still trying to run an offensive campaign than to claim they are winning. Most serious analysts are saying that what we are seeing is the final push Russia is capable of with the troops available to it. That movement is creeping along, but so far with no major breakthroughs. In the next few weeks, the Russian offensive will culminate as their forces suffer attrition. Then the big question is going to be whether Ukraine can mount either 1) a serious counter offensive, depriving the Russians of most of their gains 2) a limited counteroffensive regaining only bits of territory or 3) we reach a total stalemate.

Right now, Russia is still bleeding manpower and material, because the attacker generally suffers higher attrition than the defender. We haven't seen Ukraine on the offensive much, so the summer months will be telling - can they be as succesful on offense as they have been on defense when the momentum shifts and Russia gains the advantage of playing defense against their counter offensive?

Ukraine refusing negotiations right now indicates that they believe they can put the Russian army in serious trouble. We'll see.

This. But Ukraine WILL mount a major counter offensive. They are training a massive amount of Reserve troops right now. Hell the US, UK, and even Israel are training Ukrainians weekly for the counter attack.

cool fan fiction right there buddy!

Impossible. I was assured by Putin that Ukraine was riddled with nazis. There is no way anyone from Israel would train Ukrainians if that is true.

Ha ha, we all know that Ukraine with clear intent is getting very little help.
Cos looks that they already long ago had been sold to Russia.
They just didn't had get this reality.
Long, long ago.

Russia is really incapable like 18 years old bully with large baseball bat vs 14 y.o kid with small baseball bat.

Russia just is slowly swallowing it's predicted prey.

While if Ukr had get normal supplies, then....vuala fun might had happened.

We know why.
They assumed that they aren't sold.
