Russia/Ukraine Megathread V6

Every army has. Its ridiculous to think otherwise.

Nazy parties in Ukraine got 2% at last election. Germany had like 5%, France 25%...
Yeah, I wasn't saying Ukraine is full of Nazis.

A WWI Enfield will still fire...

If it's been properly maintained.

<BC1>

If barrel is in good condition ( barrel too does have resource limits ).
Why not.
From the same 1898? model guns germans and russians had created sniper rifles in WWII.
Looks that american and british models plus manlicher and arisaka too were good.

Selection usually had been done by taking some bunch with rifles, control firing and more precise from batch were selected.
Then equiped with optical sight, control shootings and adjustment = vuala.

Mosin rifle even in 1980 ies had been considered as more precise than SVD marksman rifle. For single shot in 300-700 meters range.

I could make a similar post about Ukrainians committing crimes or even Americans or Europeans raping and murdering outside of war zones. There's fucked up people everywhere.

The point is that the media only shows the ugly stuff about Russia but not about Ukraine.
Ok, then you're up to bat.

Link us to stories of invading Ukranians committing war crimes in Russia. I'm listening.

SandinisLL actually contributes this thread with a ton good insight even if he gets rambly. He makes more sense to me even drunk than anyone who insists that the situation is anything else than 99.9% black and white.
...and I thought you were one of the smart ones in here.

There is no comparison between the two regimes. While the Ukrainians clearly have their own faults, they are not a kleptocracy run by murderous gangsters, who's "soldiers" are a bunch of drunken, cowardly thugs.
So, why do Ukrainians tie their own women naked to street poles for steeling food?
Does that sound like a civilized people to you?
If this is what they do to their own women, imagine what they would do to captured female Russian soldiers.

Show evidence and I will concede the point.

Were posted in early threads conserning pows but none of course on russian ground

I haven't seen any. Frankly, given what the Russians have done, I think the Ukrainians are showing remarkable restraint. Although that is almost certainly motivated by the knowledge that if they start torturing and murdering large number of POW's, they will lose the support of many in the West. And also ensure that Russian soldiers will fight to the death rather than surrender.

Come to my house, rape my kid and kill my dog I'm likely to make the rest of your short life a living hell. Or something like that. Wasn't long ago that people got into fights over toilet paper.

Not saying it's right, but we're still mostly aggro monkeys at the end of the day.
I asked him to provide evidence of Ukrainian war crimes a few hours ago, bro. I'm still waiting, so don't hold your breath:rolleyes:

Yeah, I've been following along.

Oh there's definitely been unsavoury pow treatment by Ukrainian forces.

Do yourself a favour and read some history: Winter War, Russification of the Baltic states, Holomordor, Warsaw Pact countries Stalinist puppet governments, suppression of Hungarian uprising, Prague spring, Chechen Wars, wars in Georgia and Ukraine and you learn a thing or two what it's like to be a small nation next to Russia.
Way to impress us with your reading list.
Were there major complaints from former eastern-block countries prior to February 24th?
You left out the part on how all this started at the end of WWII with US and European support as the European map was redrawn.

@KnightTemplar. There's videos of Russian pows being shot in knees / legs apon arrival.

Pretty disturbing but cold blooded. Seemed to be no pleasure in it. Just cold blooded fair enough. Obviously stupid to treat pows like that. Creates fewer surrenders. Even the recording of pows / calling their families... is a war crime... but small business compared to others.

Knife in Eyeball guy is definitely a sick fuck who enjoyed it tho. ( another pow . Burnt with cigs. Slow death by having knife driven through eye. ) completely different vibe to the cold hearted imo

If the roles were reversed would have been front page news.

NATO isn't fighting a war, Ukrainians can give up anytime they want, NATO can't change that.

Just like the Afghan army with their tanks, jets, humvees, artillery decided to surrender to the Taliban riding technicals so can Ukrainian army surrender to Russia if they want.

People talk as if NATO has boots on the ground when its just giving Ukrainians weapons.
The Afghan surrender is a bit of a wake up call for our brass. We trained them to fight like us but they don’t have the resources to fight like that. They also are not as professional and therefore as adaptable as our military is. In the future, they need to do a better job judging the limits of the country we are training and what fits them best.

We left them well armed but all of that equipment takes a lot of expertise and a lot of resources to maintain. They simply didn’t have that support. That is because we funded it and we ran logistics for them. We suddenly pulled out and they of course were completely incapable of maintaining a military like that.
