Russia/Ukraine Megathread V6

That is a big country! About the size of Texas. The best thing for Putin to do at this point would be to take the Donbas region and leave. I thought that was his original plan. Taking over the whole country will take too long and take too many Russian lives. I think at this point Putin does not want to change things because he thinks it will make him look weak. So, again, one man will cause thousands of human lives.
Dude? Thousands? According to WHO?

There is also Belarus: with Lukashenko.
Lukashenko does have approx 105 airplanes (Mig29, Su25, Su30 ) etc aviation, at least 600 main battle tanks, more than 200 MLRS launchers ( Smerch, Polonez, Uragan, Grad ), approx 60 SCUD and approx 38 Thocka launchers

the fuck is that supposed to do against a bunch of pissed off ukranian farmers and their tractors?

Too lazy to check for the last five days, sorry.
Major Russian propaganda. Only 1 major city has fallen under Russian control (possibly two).
Russians must be talking about villages of 100 or less people.
Maybe they are breaking things down by neighborhood (zones) to increase numbers. o_O

* Also, here in the US we do month/day/year instead of day/month/year.

I've posted CNN, NYT, Newsweek, WSJ.
Nice try?
I’ve seen reporting from and/or about Odessa Kherson Lviv and others on western media and I barely watch it so your characterization of their failure to report beyond the cities you mentioned was incorrect. Can’t really call the media out for misreporting and lies and then do the same thing in your posts.

Ukraine has 5 cities with more than a million people, 41 cities with between 100,000 and 1 million people, and 314 cities with between 10,000 and 100,000 people.

I mean, that tractor meme, is funny but probably an unique situation.

Some of them are big like https://www.google.ru/maps/place/Sc...8m2!3d48.737247!4d39.2311974?hl=en&authuser=0, some just a small villages (1700+), like https://www.google.ru/maps/place/Pi...m2!3d48.7582982!4d39.3584921?hl=en&authuser=0.
It's from LPR and DPR combat zone, and I never visited that region so can't say without checking each one.

Good try, but no :D. Poland and Czech were already sold to Germans by UK & France during Munich Betrayal. Soviet forces entered Poland when Polish state was no more, president, defense minister and government already left the country.
And Finland worked for nazis during Continuation war, helping in Leningrad blockade, and trying to take back Karelia. Lauri Torni says “Hi!”

All of central Europe got proper fucked by the great powers. Every single one of those countries. From fragmenting cohesive economies to arbitrary redrawing of borders and making people citizens of hostile nations, to everything in between. They all got fucked. And most of those countries did some dirty shit.

So what's your point? That past wrongs make current ones right? That because another power did it it's cool now? History is full of wrongs and stuff that shouldn't have happened. Does that mean we perpetuate the same shit that got us here?

But but but, what about? Who cares. If we keep looking back we'll never move forward.

unique situation most definately. its not every day where you see a john deere just casually rolling down the street towing an army tank.

glory to the farmers!

That's the funny thing...i have only posted what Russia reports twice in this thread in the past month, and I stipulated that it was propaganda.
I keep hearing that I only believe Russia, but I never quote or cite Russian media regarding...anything.

It's almost as if I think everyone is full of shit.

No I don't think you shill for them really...it's more that you so adamantly deny what's reported on the other "side" but I haven't seen you ever call out grimballer or whatever he is or the other pro Russia posters when they give "reports". To be fair, maybe you've done it and I missed it, I'm in and out of the threads as some fatigue sets in sometimes.

So the long and short of it is...no matter what, we can choose to disbelieve whatever we want I guess. If I'm pro Russia and you show me video of a rocket hitting an apartment and then dead bodies everywhere, I can simply say "Bah, special effects are easy these days and a few actors lying on the ground. Fake."

Like I said, the actual truth ceases to matter.

Holy shit... It's like Russia forgot how to run an invasion.

Food?!? Who brought the food?? Anyone?

There's a joke about communism to be made here somewhere

But really, they thought they'd be in Kiev in a week. They expected this to go like Dessert Storm 1 for the US

And holy shit were they not ready for Ukraine to hold on like they did
