Damn, that is very sad to hear. Makes sense tho as the battle of propaganda intensifies, it makes sense for Russia to pay extra close attention to this stuff, as any type of messaging like this coming out is likely supported by Ukraine government and likely has troops and other stuff stationed to support the position, to continue their messaging. So as cities get more leveled and various structures become sparse, they will more readily be able to identify resistance, etc.

They wouldn't benefit from it, but if the US and NATO actually do enforce a no fly zone, and start shooting down Russian planes, I think Russia uses Nukes.

NATO will never enforce a 'no-fly' zone in Ukraine.
Russia can have the Ukraine. It is not worth a 3rd WW or a nuclear war.
Are you in danger of being drafted by the Russian Army?

What in the world are you basing that off of? A month of fighting over multiple fronts involving hundreds of thousands of soldiers can definitely produce these numbers.

Seeing as how 3k is the lowest estimate you have sourced I think we can just go ahead and rule that his claim that more have died in the Ukraine than the US in Afghanistan is correct. You say we don't have a clue, but we have a bunch of source with the ceiling being around 10k killed and the floor being about 3k. The true number lies somewhere in there. While we don't know the exact we now have an idea.

I'm not saying this to bash the Russian military. Ukraine is not the Taliban. They were obviously going to cause damage to any invader. On the flipside, Russia does not have as professional or proficient a military as the US has, which really is the best the world has ever seen.

You know everyone always assumes nuclear war means the end of life, but that's not necessarily the case. They could each nuke each other a few times before the people of the world unite and demand and end to the war citing the death, devastation and ecological effects. It doesn't necessarily mean both countries just empty their nuclear arsenals on each other. I could see a limited nuclear war.

I think we will see Trophy systems become more a standard maybe smart ai controlled Direct energy weapons to counter ATGMS.

Tanks are probably also gonna be going more toward a unmanned turret set up and have more of a cockpit set up, much like the T-14 uses. We tested one called the TTB back in the 80s

I mean really I think its just easy to admit that were in a fog of war situation and we really don't know a lot of firm details.

Just as the Russian side is obviously propaganda it does seem pretty likely that the US side will play up a more negative view as well because we are basically in an information war. The aim I'm guessing that Russians who have access to western sources maybe more likely to feel negatively about the war even if they were supportive of its claimed aims.

Maybe some hope that some kind of friction within the Russian army might happen coming from a troop level and destabilize Putin?
