If Ukraine was Israel, the Israeli Army and Air Force would have defeated Russia back in 2022. With US backing of course. ...but the US is backing Ukraine in its own way.

They might have had the upper hand in 2023, but they are now losing it.
Oh, you think Russia wants all of Ukraine. No, not this time around. They want the eastern portion of Ukraine which they now control and an additional 4 oblasts. 9 oblasts in total. The western portion of Ukraine is safe for the time being. Putin can destroy Kiev and Lviv any time he likes. Russia has the drones and missiles to overwhelm Ukrainian air defense.

* Also, why doesn't Zelensky (Ukraine) level Moscow with their Flamingo and Neptune missiles? Put an end to this conflict.

...okay, so, I'm just going to throw this out.

Folks here claim that the Russian Army sucks. Kind of like a Third World Army. Donkeys, scoters, and crutches.
Looking back at the Israeli 'Six-Day War,' Israel defeated the Army of 3 countries combined: Egypt, Syria, and Jordan. In 6 days.

The super-duper Ukrainian Army can't defeat the 'inferior' and 'outdated' Russian Army in 4 years of fighting.
Just for perspective. This with a shit ton of help from the west. Four years is plenty of time to throw the 'Ruskies' back across the border.
If the Ukrainian Army is so good and so strong, it should be able to push the Russian Army back east and regain territory lost. That time has come and gone. That ship has sailed. The Ukrainian defense is barely holding on to what it can. This without Russia leveling 3 major cities in Ukraine which would absolutely bring an end to this conflict. Americans ended the war with Japan by leveling Tokyo (firebombed), Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. Roughly 350,000 dead innocent civilians. ...but it ended the war.

Ukraine exists still when it was supposed to have rolled over and died within 3 days of the start of the "special military operation." The (supposedly) second greatest army on the face of the PLANET hasn't conquered them and has lost over one million casualties.

Ukraine is the meat-grinder and Russia is so short on troops that they're now sending the overweight and people they have duped from other countries to go into it.

Ukraine IS winning.

Iranian specialists helped russia to build factory and ajatolla initially sold iranian drones and even engines for them.

Now Russia had modernized them.
They increased warheads weight, developed multiple types of warheads easy to change and adapt for mission task.

One drawback for them is that looks they doesn't have enough cheap octol.
Initially they used mainly this.
Now more often hexogen mixes are used.... probably cos they does have a lot of different quality hexogen but octol bends for them is expensive to use in shaheds warheads.

This probably is compensated by improving warheads designs and incresing weight....

This significantly reduces radioelectronic warfare effects on them.
Ofc price too is higher... more complex antennas are larger and cost significantly more.

Ofc modern cameras does cost $.

Some shaheds does use mesh modems to get FPV type abilities till 200 km range.
However worst thing is that there is possible chaining when one drone passes info to another drone and like this.

Ofc modernized shaheds does cost them significantly more than initial versions.
If they does have block with camera / cameras cost too depends from tech specs and ofc how quickly after order you want to get them.
Chinesse blocks does cost from xx $ if simple, advanced blocks might cost 2000$ and more for 1 block.
mesh modems western might cost 12-25 k for peace if western, chinesse for 5-7-9 k.

Plus for mesh modem they need power supply, so shahed needs more expensive power supply installed too.

Ukraine is not winning. They are still in a fight they themselves don't know if they will win. They are currently on the defense. Survival mode. Things will only get worse.

We Americans were considered the best Army in the world, and yet could not win a single conflict since WWII. Desert Storm maybe being the exception. We are good at winning wars that last about 4 years.

Some are equipped with small turbojet engines. Ofc even chinesse and small they does cost significantly more than simple internal combustion engine.
Also they ofc does generate more thermal signature than these 50 HP mopeds type engines.

However increased speed allows to be lesser prone vs interceptor drones....
It is difference : does drone have 120-180 km/h speed or 400 km/h speed.

Most likely exactly therefore they are attempting to advance in any oblastj they might advance....and then is easy to understand why they actually wants to have their special operation continued...
