Russia is 100% concerned about them as they were both good friends with Putler. Iran won't be helping Russia out much anymore with the state of their country just like Syria has moved on from Russian influence. Who knows maybe killing and oppressing your own people isn't a thing anymore.

Russia does not give two-shits on who is ruling Venezuela as long as their influence in the country continues. ...and it will. Maduro will be replaced by another corrupt Venezuelan leader. Just like in Ukraine with Zelensky.
The Iranian government supports Russia, not the Iranian people. Also, corrupt leaders in Iran.
Russia still has significant influence in Syria. They too have a corrupt leader.
Corrupt countries are easily influenced by Russia and China. Corrupt leaders care only about money and getting rich, not the people they are supposedly ruling over.

So, it is official (according to Trump), the US now controls Venezuela and its oil companies until such time Trump sees fit to turn the country back over to the Venezuelans. How long will that be? A few months or a few years.

The US achieved in Venezuela what Putin is trying to achieve in Ukraine. All in less than 24 hours. The United States has now taken over Venezuela.

I guess if the US can do it, so can Russia.
It just goes to show that a Russian invasion of Ukraine is perfectly okay. There is nothing wrong with invading another country. No matter how you do it.

What a terrible example being set by the US.
Now Putin has all the moral high ground and leverage he needs.

The US will need a ground presence to enforce rules. It will be interesting to see how this will be done.

Maduro isn't normal. He told that Venezuela should install army in Gyana.
There are mountains, jungles and swamps with a lot of mud. It isn't ukraine, it is 10x worse, tank might sunk really quickly. Plus wildlife does have a lot of rats and different animals and hungry birds...
