International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

US saying it's a IRBM but the real story is Russia potentially using MIRVed warhead. One thing that they didn't meet obligations of NEW START by continuing to manufacture then, actually testing it in an active battle field may cause the US to be more active.

Russia has advanced ICBMs but can't see them deploying them in this conflict;

Escalation was bound to happen when the US gave Ukraine ATACMS....just was hoping it didn't come in the form of weaponry the world wanted phased out

if they keep losing large ammo dumps like they are ....

So this whole new hypersonic missile thing is just to show that the efforts to make a missile shield in Europe are pointless.

...but they didn't now did they?
Do you really think Russia has thrown everything they have at Ukraine? Please.
Think of the American Revolutionary War. Did Britain throw all their military resources against the colonists who wanted independence? Britain had more important issues to worry about in Europe.

Have you thought about the fact that Putin does not want to escalate the Ukraine/Russia conflict to achieve his victory?
He has Ukraine (Zelensky) right where he wants it. With Trump coming to power in January (with a failed Biden administration), Putin will bring forth his terms to end the war which will most likely adhere to what Trump wants. Trump will align with Putin before he aligns with Zelinsky. Zelinsky needs to understand that the world will not go into a nuclear war or a third world war over Ukraine. Ukraine is just not worth that. If Ukraine has to be sacrificed to save the rest of the world, so be it. No one really cares about Ukraine anymore. Ukraine is not Britain, France, Germany, Canada, or China. It ranks low on the importance scale. Russia is ready to go another 3 years of war. Is Ukraine ready to continue another 3 years of war?

I'll give Ukraine credit for keeping the Russians from moving in from the North and taking Kiev in the early stages of the war. Ukraine also kept Russia from moving further West and taking more territory, but ask yourself, is Russia not happy with what they are holding from Ukraine? Maybe the territory Russia holds from Ukraine has been their strategy all along.

...and again, anyone, how big is the current Ukrainian Army? How many Ukrainian soldiers are deserting their Army every week? Ukraine is currently fighting a guerrilla style war with their tiny Army. Insignificant victories. Their Army is nowhere close to what it was two years ago. Censorship and propaganda tend to lead people to think otherwise. Like the way the corrupt media portrayed Joe Biden for the last 4 years. The truth finally did come out. How many Ukrainian soldiers have died in the past two and a half years?
Embarrassing to compare Britian vs America to this conflict. Britain couldn't use its full military force because of something called an ocean? Does Russia have that problem right now?

It would be extremely more likely if all of Ukraine falls, the defenses are concentrated in an eastward direction in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.

Taking Ukraine allows them to outflank those prepared defenses. It doubles the size of Poland's front.
You really think that Russia will move on from having their shit pushed in by Ukraine to attacking a NATO member?!

These videos would be better with a real human doing the voice over.. these AI voice overs really cheapen the video

I agree, but the guy making the videos has a HEAVY Slavic accent so unless he finds a volunteer to read the script, we're going to have to hang tough.

That was their intention till they got their shit pushed in by Ukraine.
I think that if they had managed to fold Ukr quickly or install a puppet...then initially it had been Moldova after this and why not?
Moldova already since 1992 th does have Transistria area controlled by well armed separatists supported by Kremlin.
Also Moldova is sadly poor country and despite they does have some soviet era equipment, their military does get lesser than 1 % of GDP financing...
They can't resist in reality vs small mice Estonia, not alone to talk about larger
countries taking their military more seriously.
Also ofc due to low income cheaper to buy ppl with promises and smaller ammount of money...
Sep regions in Georgia.
Armenia : due to location etc...easy peasy.

They ofc wants attack Baltic countries but they will do this only if will have intent to do large scale war in europe.
Mining resources in Luhansk oblastj alone are more than in all Baltic countries together, not even to discuss about Donetsk oblastj....

Peat russia does have enough and Baltic countries area always was huge unexcepted bloodbath despite assumptions...even after each war...for long term.
Always these wars were with intent to attack other areas by using as placdarm....a lot of blood for sands and dreams......during centuries...

Actually I think for Putin more likes Lukashenko No2 , No3 and No4 , No5 etc scenarious in countries ....or pro Kremlin oriented parties ruling in their parliaments...

For example georgian dream in Georgia, I don't know are they actually pro Kremlin 100% or just want to trade with everyone...and ofc 0 sanctions for Russia ....

Kremlin friendly Orban and Fico in EU & NATO countries...

Pro kremlin oriented politicians in all countries.... doesn't matter west or east country...etc.

I agree with San Marino more generally but you are correct. Back then a big ship was 150 ft long. The British did try their main trick was sending the great armada to New York and praying for submission logistically actually taking the whole 13 colonies was going to suck.

If the colonies rebel in 1870 instead of 1770 they get clapped.
