As if war wasn't terrifying before.. this drone warfare stuff is fucking horrifying. I have seen countless videos from both sides of drones killing soldiers as if its a fucking video game.. and if they don't kill you initially by an exploding drone or dropping a grenade on you, don't worry - there are plenty more on the way to finish you off.. and that is just in the sky, now there are fucking drones all over the water/sea AOs as well.

It's incredible and frightening how good mankind is at killing itself. War is hell and anyone who is for this war continuing can get fucked. Russia should go home and stop all of the unneeded death. Putin obviously doesn't care about his soldiers - their lives mean nothing as long as he gets his glory.

War has always been scary. Just look at the numbers of death in ww2

Ofc now will be excuses while this shows that Latvian MoD obviously is keeping air defense assets far from this area.

Or maybe it was meant for Belarus as Putler is likely putting pressure on Lukadildo to get involved more in the war as he prob was the influence to have the tanks lined up on the UKR border.
Didnt Belarus already shoot down Russian drones going through their air space? Maybe Putler is pulling a heavy on Belarus? Nothing putler does is a surprise at this point.

I’m not debating that war was never scary. I was calling out the creative and new ways that you can die that just didn’t exist to this extent in the past.

It’s only going to get worse and worse. I bet that soon drones will be so small that they will be almost undetectable. We are only at the beginning.

Yes, Belarus obviously in 3 cases had used MiG-29 to shot down Iranian mopeds after they entered Belarus airspace ....

There already relatively long ago are very small drones: lesser than 0,5 lbs and short range.
These are designed for urban type usage, mainly for anti terrorism units etc type usage. Produced in Norway, I forget " name " ....expensive, short range, silent stuff. For video info gatheting..

If the Russians were using these incendiary drones a lot of people would be saying they’re against the Geneva Convention and they might be right.

Yes. Also Russia since 2022 th had been accused more than 400 times about riot control agents usage for trench warfare.
Additionally : unguided anti infantry mines usage by using unguided Grad and Uragan MRLS missiles special models designed to disppress anti infantry mines called " butterfly mines ".
 
Russian assault tactics have changed in the past 6 months. They're not leading with any platoon size attacks with armor and infantry anymore. What they are doing is attacking in teams of infantry, about 2 to 3 per team. These team would be very spread out to make them harder to target by a artillery and drones. These teams are there to test Ukrainian response, finding their positions then targeting them with artillery/FPV/glide bombs, which the Russians have in greater numbers. Once they weaken the Ukrainians, the regular armor push would follow.

Also, Ukraine is taking greater losses in artillery, especially HIMARS. Russians have placed their Iskander SRBM at the battalion level, which allows their field commanders to call strikes on suspected high value targets much faster.
 
These talks about nukes are for mainstream media customers.
Obviously western " friends " in reality are conducting Chamberlain / Kissinger type politics in reality ...history does repeat...

Ukraine dreaming. Phrase No1 after 2014 th. A lot of loud talks, blind eyes and almost nothing serious done enough nor to develop a lot of fortifications or really serious MIC and produce a lot.
2019-2021. The same. While now, despite reality and crying that west doesn’t sell them heavy weapons....started talks about NATO and EU. Jesus, how delusional ppl might be.
2022. Some nice countries relocates embassy key perssonel from Kiev and navy ships from Black Sea. Some pundits and politicians in their local media: everything will be ok. Keep dreaming.
Hesitant and slow supplies after invasion, nothing wrong, keep dreaming.
Slowed down supplies after autumn 2022 th counter offensive. Keep dreaming.
Denial to supply long range weapons, December 2022 th. Keep dreaming.

Now too they are crying about not sufficient and delayed supplies and restrictions. Really they continue to dream?
Doesn't see relpolitik in real life?
 
BTW someone had noticed european reaction timeframe?
2014-2021 th...mainly nice talks but in general nothing special. Some easy soft sanctions a bit, noting more.

1. After started to fill european countries with refugees!
2. Started to threat with nukes.
3. Yelled that might cut off supplies...
4. Yelled that wants to get payments in roubles...
5. Digged trenches in Chenobyl...
Etc.

So realpolitik is realpolitik.
