I doubt he will. Most probably he will send the mustache man, Zelensky will refuse to speak with anyone except Putin, and Putin will claim that Zelensky doesnt want peace talks. Putin politics 101.

I think that Putin not likely will travel to Istanbul. 15.05.2025.

Why?
Usually before Putin's visits part of his security team is in city some days before Putin's actual visit data....to check something etc.

Till this hour they didn't had yet installed such team in Istanbul..... soon will be 14.05.2025.
/ ofc there always might be chance that Putin quickly will get in psycho mode and order to travel to Istanbul ¿?.dunno.

If they will send Lavrov outcome is almost clear .
Lavrov definitely will tell that Ukraine is threat for Russia, Russia is concerned about safety, russia is peaceful country etc.
Additionally Lavrov will insist that russia is peaceful country etc.
Then he will present thick batch with papers and demand Ukraine to accept all this in these papers.
Additionally he will cry that western countries should not sell or supply weapons for Ukr...for long term...ofc.

Keen to show Western sanctions are pointless, Russia says its gross domestic product grew 4.3% in 2024 after 3.6% expansion in 2023.

But Torbjorn Becker, who presented the SITE report to EU finance ministers, said Russian GDP numbers could not be trusted because Moscow was most likely strongly understating inflation which affected real GDP calculations.

"Russia claims inflation is 9-10%. Why would they then have a policy rate of 21% at the central bank? Which regular central bank would have a policy rate that's basically 11.50 percentage points higher than the inflation rate? If any of our central banks were doing something like that, they would be out of their job the next day," Becker told reporters.

"That's a very clear indication that inflation may not actually be the right number. If you understate inflation, you will then overstate real GDP numbers," he said.

LIKELY HIGHER BUDGET DEFICIT

He also pointed to Russia's budget constraints caused by falling revenues from oil, gas and coal and rising military spending. Since the start of its invasion of Ukraine and despite its massive war effort, Russia has been reporting a budget deficit of 2% of GDP every year.

"Fiscal numbers in Russia don't really correspond to what we think that they are putting into the war effort," Becker said.

He said much of the financing of the war machine was going through the banking system. "So if you add that to the fiscal numbers, their fiscal deficits would be ballpark twice as high as what they have shown in the official statistics," he said."

"The United States has approved the transfer of 125 long-range artillery rockets and 100 Patriot air defense missiles from Germany to Ukraine, the New York Times (NYT) reported on May 10.

The American-made weapons cannot be exported, even by a country that owns them, without approval from the U.S. government.

A U.S. congressional official on May 9 announced that Washington had given the green light for Germany to transfer the weapons to Kyiv, the NYT reported. The shipment includes 125 long-range artillery rockets and 100 Patriot air defense missiles.

The Patriot air defense system is widely recognized for its high-precision detection, tracking, and interception of aircraft, cruise, and ballistic missiles. Ukraine reportedly has only eight Patriot systems, two of which are currently not in service. An additional Patriot system is on its way to Ukraine from Israel as part of a previously arranged commitment, the NYT reported on May 4."

Good an actually sad stuff: U.S is selling very expensive weapons and still does have control what stuff you might do with weapons you had purchased, even if 30 years ago
..

Also if number of missiles is correct, it is bad.... too low number of missiles.

If about Israel stuff: they doesn't allow re export israel weapons to Ukraine. Nothing had changed...

With their old Patriot battery situation is different: they had scheduled this for de commisioning and gave it to U.S ....without clauses.

Obiviously this old battery needs some refubrishment , most likely even repairs.

However missiles ofc most likely are usable.
Looks that Benny most likely already had sent 90 missiles for U.S and Trump easily might gave these to Ukr even today.
Still these are PAC-2 versions not PAC-3 versions...

In order to get how " much " are 100 missiles....

Patriot battery should use at least 6 launchers , better 8..in order to be more effective.

Launcher, depending of missiles models used does have 4-16 missiles loaded.

So IF for example 6X4, then 24 , if 8X4, then 32...
IF 6X16, then 96... and IF 8X16, then 128....

For 1 battery " loaded " for just ONE(1 )full cycle it is 24 '- 128 ....missiles.
