In his defense, some of the Russian equipment is that same as from the last battle of Kursk

Yes, however today isn't situation when Kremlin had millions of ukr conscripts and generous lend lease from evil west and millions of ppl worldwide really supporting them without payment....

Ofc most likely Kremlin still had dream about 1939 th and to use ukr conscripts against europe again. They always had loved to use ukr " meat " ....A lot and with happiness....more = better. Will die 1 or 1 000 000 doesn't matter, lesser ppl walking around = more oxygen to breath. Trademark from Stalin.
There also is stuff called females and according Zhukov these will gave birth for next meat portions.
 
There also is reason why a lot of politicians doesn't want to see Ukraine nor in NATO nor in EU.
This reason is plain and simple: Ukrainians does have tendency to elect populists and are willing to hear promises.
So we don't know what kind of parliament they might elect next time.
It might happen that they will have ruling fraction like today Georgia does have and we might get some next orban too....in EU for example.

EDIT:Side note more Chinese made drones showing up in Ukrainian hands. Seems to me that the Russian use has not been great for sales of a key business assist as Russians have been bad pretty much everywhere. Other I bet the used market for 1990's early 2000's hummers are going to skyrocket with videos like this coming out. There is a nice cherry red one for sale near my house lol.

One from biggest concerns is also that earlier with pro Kremlin oriented parliament Ukraine was important strategic weapons supplier for Russia.

They, during timeframe when had actually pro Kremlin oriented presidents had conducted military exercises together with Russia and had mobilisation plans tailored for large scale conventional war in europe....

Last largest heavy weapons sales deal with Russia was in 1999? th : 9 strategic bombers and 575 long range cruise missiles....
BTW these now are used against Ukraine.

They also managed to shot down passenger airplane with S 200 missile when together with Russia had exercises in order to prepare for large scale war vs NATO.
Old missile looks that failed to lock on target drone and locked on airplane.
While it is posted that S 200 does use ground radar to illuminate target, it isn't always...
They might have small radar mounted in missile and then. .. if it will lock on target..and IF some wiring isn't working then you can't do anything.

Ukraine isn't safe for EU as member...

Lockheed announced they are on pace to produce 250 F-35's this year and over that number next year. They said the issue is not getting more out now is Government approval to ship to F-35's to NATO members. Putin compared their military spending compared to the world as a whole 3 percent vs the US military spending over 40 percent of the world. Putin basically admitting he cannot win this war alone and needs aid from North Korea and China.

About correct, no one really cares since it really doesnt affect population by large, my mom was in saint pete when ukr drone striked a factory last year in city. No one cared

Governors had ordered civilians evacuation but looks that they doesn't have sufficient resources to conduct forced evacuation.
Russian troops are 11 km from this city.
This does means that shelling is possible even with 120 mm mortars IF they want and does have extended range shells for these.

In order to slow down russian offensive now only distance minelaying is usable measure cos it is too late to build fortifications....additionally to slow down pressure might help cluster ammo for arty and MRLS.

There are suspicions that they had get supplies from Lukashenko from Bel wartime stickpiles: ammo ....
Pressure is increasing significantly..

When they will be closer they will be able to shell even with casual stuff for mortars . ..
