International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

Sure would be a shame if something happened to the gas pipelines heading to Rostov-on-Don

Zakharova, spokesperson for Russian foreign affairs ministry, on the situation in Kursk:

"Moscow calls on the international community not to stand aside and strongly condemn the criminal actions of the Kyiv regime."

Their hypocrisy never ceases to amaze.

How dare you fucking invading

BTW even without some outside forces shit with pipelines in Russia might happen IF recruiting for special military operation still will be successful.
Reason might be cos these special operators are promised to get impressive bonuses and salaries ....usually higher than technicians doing maintenance for infrastructure etc.
If they will go to this special operation, Putin can't replace them with random noobs : these technicians are educated and experienced guys.

This is simply untrue. The Russians / Soviets had huge oil and gas production operations during the Cold War and will continue to have with or without Western support. They may not be as efficient, but they will keep running.
No it isn't.

Subject isn't production. Production isn't being attacked. Refineries are. Lot more complicated and specialized than extraction.

I'm really hoping Ukraine's incursion into Kursk is the turning point of this stupid war. Bitch-made Putin is already complaining about the "provocation" from the Ukrainians.

The dildo of consequences rarely arrive lubed.

This is simply untrue. Soviet oil production peaked in the 1960s (175 million metric tons per year), by 1990 it had nearly halved (109) and it took Western corporate intervention to revitalize the industry during the 90s-00s. By 2020, Russia produced an all time high of 573 metric tons exponentially dwarfing anything during the Soviet period.

Russia's entire economy and government is tied to proceeds from their current oil trade. It's one of the main reason for their economic stagnation as you can't reliable plan for long term projects when your revenue is reliant on market conditions of a commodity as volatile as crude oil. So while you may be right some oil will still flow, it will not be anywhere near the scale required to support their current government and society. Significant reduction in their production impacts basically every aspect of their society.

Ukraine has invaded Russia 15 miles in taking tons of Russian soldiers prisoners. The best part was Putin was personally in charge is the reason why Ukraine doing so well lol. The video clips are way off.

I've got a great idea for President Putin.

What he could do is trade the illegally occupied territories that Russia are squatting in for the illegally occupied territories Ukraine will be squatting in.

They could then have a border that looks a bit like this:

i%20Navalny%20comes%20out%20for%20Ukraine%27s%201991%20borders..png

It's a good offer, Vladimir should take it 👍👍👍

That's how the Koch Brother family made their initial fortunes. It was their father who went to The Soviet Union during the Stalin era and built modern oil refineries for them.

Well gawd damn, fucking ballsy..

Ukraine: Oh you thought we were going to try to take back some of our land?

I think we will just take some of yours over here instead…
I said they should have done this a long time ago.
