Yeah, i watched the documentary (posted by you i believe?) on the French in the region.
They certainly weren't there for just their humanitarian goals,
I don't blame African nations for wanting them gone.
But on the realistic side of things, pushing the french/US out and filling that gap with the worst Russia has to offer isn't going to improve the situation for Africans.
Apart for the Junta's that get thrown some cash for their compliance.
Hell, dare i say Russia isn't even going to be bothered with pretending they are there for stability/security etc.
They're going to be focussed on just securing their own interests there (duh), which will probably come down to some mines and ports,
if they even manage that.
The French had alot more assets/capabillities in the area than the Russians do and they didn't exactly have a smooth ride either.
So yeah, if i may speculate, that region is going to downhill fast and that's going to suck for the ordinary people in it.
Kicking the French out wasn't wrong from a moral point of view, but it sure was stupid from a practical point of view.
