Correct. Ukraine inherited 2-3 army groups worth of artillery from the Soviets, they started the war with more artillery than the US has in its entire inventory. Folks still don't understand how artillery heavy Soviet armies were and how much of that legacy carries over to the current Russian army. Put it this way. The US has around 1600 total artillery pieces, this includes both towed artillery and self-propelled guns of all calibres. Russia has something like 3000 self-propelled 152mm guns alone. Their total artillery inventory is estimated at somewhere around 16-20k guns, they literally have several times more guns than all of NATO put together.
They also have an army filled with drunks, retards and violent criminals recruited from prisons. The good old days when quantity could make up for a lack of quality are gone.
