Putin please stop your jets have been taken out you will not send your very limited supply of SU-57s into Ukraine only once or twice where it was used to fire missiles from a distance. He is now saying he will not attack NATO "I think he is still insane anyways". Lockheed ads I been getting recently seems to indicate F-Y Trump as they are devoting more resources into upgrading the F-16, Javelin, HIMARS rockets and advancing range.

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin scoffed at the possibility of his country launching an attack on a NATO member, calling it “sheer nonsense,” but warned that any Western air base hosting U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets that are slated for deployment in Ukraine would be a “legitimate target” for the Kremlin’s forces.

“Their statements about our alleged intention to attack Europe after Ukraine is sheer nonsense,” Putin said late Wednesday, referring to warnings in the U.S. and Western Europe that Russia could turn its sights on other countries unless it is stopped.

He noted that the U.S. defense budget is more than 10 times higher than Russia’s. “In view of that, are we going to wage a war against NATO? It’s ravings,” he told military pilots during a visit to an air base.

Ukraine is awaiting the delivery of F-16s, which will increase military pressure on Russia, from its Western partners. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said last year that 42 F-16s had been promised. Ukrainian pilots have been training in the West for months on how to fly the warplanes.

The F-16s require a high standard of runways and reinforced hangars to protect them from bombing attacks when they are on the ground. It is not clear how many Ukrainian air bases can meet those requirements, and Russia would be certain to quickly target a few that could accommodate them once the jets arrive.

Putin warned Ukraine’s Western allies against providing air bases in their countries from where the F-16s could launch sorties against the Kremlin’s forces. Those bases would become a “legitimate target,” he said.

“F-16s are capable of carrying nuclear weapons, and we will also need to take that into account while organizing our combat operations,” Putin added.
Military analysts have said the arrival of F-16s won’t be a game-changer in view of Russia’s massive air force and sophisticated air defense systems, though Ukrainian officials have welcomed them as an opportunity to hit back at Russia’s air dominance.

Putin insisted the F-16s “won’t change the situation on the battlefield.”

“We will destroy their warplanes just as we destroy their tanks, armored vehicles and other equipment, including multiple rocket launchers,” he said.

F-16s can be used to bolster Ukraine’s capability to target Russian facilities with long-range missile strikes. Ukraine’s counteroffensive last year came up short in part because it took place without air cover, placing its troops at the mercy of Russian aviation and artillery.

March 27 (UPI) -- Ukrainian prisoners of war are being executed by their Russian captors in ever higher numbers amid ongoing human rights abuses and inhuman treatment, United Nations monitors said.

A record 32 Ukrainian POWs were executed in 12 separate incidents in the three months through February amid widespread torture and ill-treatment, deaths in custody, incommunicado detention, enforced disappearances, and dire conditions of detention, the U.N. Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine said in a news release on its latest findings published Tuesday.
The U.N. Office of the Human Rights High Commissioner's 28-page "Report on the Human Rights Situation in Ukraine" from December through February is based on the testimony of 60 recently released Ukrainian POWs.

"Almost every single one of the Ukrainian POWs we interviewed described how Russian servicepersons or officials tortured them during their captivity, using repeated beatings, electric shocks, threats of execution, prolonged stress positions and mock execution. Over half of them were subjected to sexual violence," said HRMMU head Danielle Bell.

"Most POWs also recounted the anguish of not being allowed to communicate with their families, and being deprived of adequate food and medical attention."
The monitors recorded credible accounts of the execution of at least 32 Ukrainian POWs during the three months Dec.1 to Feb. 29 -- sharply higher than in any previous monitoring period --three of which they said they had verified independently.

The report also details violence committed against Ukrainian civilians in areas occupied by Russia by the military and civil authorities including killings and arbitrary detention, as well as and crackdowns on free speech.
Russian POWs held by Ukraine were also interviewed for the report. Accounts provided by the 44 POWs found that while torture was not used at recognized internment camps, several detailed how they had been tortured and ill-treated in transit facilities after they had been taken from the theater of combat.
The report also criticizes Kyiv for contravening International Humanitarian Law by continuing to prosecute and convict people for actions they cannot lawfully avoid carrying out under laws imposed by the Russian occupation.
A specific case highlighted in the report pertained to the death in custody of a person initially arrested for "justifying the armed attack by the Russian Federation against Ukraine."

He had complained that penal authorities failed to adequately respond to his worsening health, allegations that were the subject of an investigation by Ukrainian authorities.

It also cited mob attacks against property and parishioners of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, likely due to its historical links to the Russian Orthodox Church.

Two weeks ago, the U.N.'s Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine report concluded Russia committed human rights violations and war crimes as it invaded in 2022, citing the use of explosives and torture against civilians.

It found that the siege of the eastern port of Mariupol early on in the war, which razed much of the city, noting residents' accounts of "unbearable suffering endured during relentless shelling and aerial bombardments which caused large-scale death, injury, and destruction."

The report found new evidence backing up an earlier report that found that torture was being systematically used by Russia in detention facilities in occupied parts of Ukraine and in Russia.

It also condemned recent civilian casualties caused by "indiscriminate attacks violating international humanitarian law committed by Russian armed forces", as well as damage and destruction of hospitals, cultural facilities and other civic amenities.

It's pretty stupid to threaten to destroy equipment in Ukraine....they have been doing it for 3 years now....

 biggest Ukr problems aren't lack of manpower. These are lack of arty ammo and gliding bombs.
Earlier Ukr was capable to prevent usage of gliding bombs near frontline cos looks that then they had enough S-300 missiles.

Now looks that they are running out of them.

Literally to prevent Russia to use gliding bombs might Patriot, SAMP-T or S-300.
Ukr AFAIK does have just 3 Patriot batteries and 1 SAMP-T battery and with this if multi layered system is used by additionally using medium range and short range systems plus VSRORAD, mobile air defense groups on technicals etc.... in best case might be enough to protect Kiev oblastj alone. IF supplies of missiles are sufficient and they might use also old soviet stuff additionally.

Israel is smaller than Kiev oblastj and had invested a lot in air defense during last 50 years....a lot...
