Times have changed. The world has changed. No country has done this since WWII. If Russia were to try to do this it would trigger WWIII. Russia would be checked in a conventional war but not before losing their support from China and India.

It will depend on what you consider WWIII....DPRK, Iran, Belarus would likely fight on the side of Russia ...I am highly skeptical if China would join in....I am leaning towards a hard no for India and others.

Allied forces would likely involve US/NATO/Japan/SK/Australia...Russia would be returned to its borders while suffering catastrophic losses. I am sure there would be lots of posturing by Russia and threats to use nukes.

GOP is going to lose Congress in 2026 and likely the presidency in 2028 so Putin's time is running out to even take the whole of Donbas.

If there is one aspect of the russian military that has consistently been dunked on it's their AA capabillity.
Started in Syria, then Ukraine and last year in Iran was the ultimate humiliation.
They've got some great theoretical capabillities, yet get shit on in real life.
 
It isn't anywhere proved that Russia might shot down 80 % of Storm Shadow or SCALP.

Ofc cruise missiles are not difficult to shot down IF they are detected enough early and they are subsonic....

Even effective radar cross section depends from multiple variables , like altitude and especially waveband and these radars does have different and it is big wolrd here.....


However for subsonic cruise missiles thermal signature matters damn a lot too....and not alyways you even need to have radar ON to engage subsonic cruise missile...


When used against ground targets in close distance from frontline, old Gorbachev era Kh 35 short range subsonic cruise missile, supposed predcessor of neptune .....had approx just 6 -7 % interception rate....
And this was according to beaty ukr officials....

So imagine that this Storm Shadow at least definitely is faster than gorbachev era Kh 35 models..... with 0 doubts.

Iran will never fight for russia. Russia had proved that they acted with Iran like with supposed puppets and multiple times attempted to play with them game like U.S had played with kurds, South Vietnam, dem part of afganistan etc.
Ajatollahs too does knows well that russians are not more their friends than americans, approx the same or even worse cos are concurrents to supply cheap crude oil and gold for markets.
Russia had delayed contracted fighter jets supplies despite potential big profits.

Iran might get technical advises from Pakistan, India and even China and does knows that russian liars are not their friends.


Therefore despite russia had managed improwe and upgrade shaheds and so on, number of them used declined ...supposedly cos lesser supplies with cheap octol etc from mullahs for a a reason.
Maybe mullahs soon will supply for free some gifts for supposed experts ..for a reason.

If about questions why europe doesn't take ukr proaganda that they are fighting for their safety etc are easy to see plain and simple reasons :
Despite europeans are hypocryte comfort hungry hienas, they usually does knows well what stuff is wartime economy and wartime tax plus prohibitions and restrictions etc plus what stuff is real mobilization. Ukr thus far had did almost 0 from basics here and unfortunately doesn't looks that even might attempt.

Instead to copy paste solutions for free xxxxx experts and xxxxxxx money hungry bloggers had to spend x xxx xxxx hours in discussions and ofc just for their pockets mainly.

In Ukraine some 100 + years in row was in force law that mobiliziation age is from 18- 19 y.o .....

When Zelensky took office he despite warnings about possible full scale war had changed 100 + years old mobilization traditon in Ukraine by rising c age till 27, later dropped till 25.

It is amazing cinema.

And in 2022 th they had enough volunteers and easily might had implemented both : wartime economy and their own old or recent time mobilization rules.

At least had more ppl with training under belt now.


One thing is to yell about prime busification and reality usually is that during peacetime from guys in good shape who applied for military ..usually after 3-4 months are apprentices. If are interested and beginner pro might be luck if someone will be after year if guy is super hardworking and lucky.

Not like some 49 y.o chronic alchoholics and 50 + y.o uncles with xx diseases registered long ago....

Yep. Exactly this. Four years into the war, Ukraine with minimal support from the West is disallowing Russia air superiority over adjacent lands. Russian strength is throwing bodies at bullets.

That's just it, Russia has no real answer to the modern war of the drone age. Russia has always sucked at war as their loses compared to their wars with France, Japan, Finland, Germany etc were always bad but they have managed because they are good at soaking up bullets, ruthlessness to their own people and general winter.
However this war is more difficult to them as they still do armor, meat, charges of all sorts but the results have been slow and loses high.
Russians still seem to care little about how many of their own die likely because size of country and speaking out will put you in jail.
The peace talks are a waste of time as Putler cannot stop this war until he has at least his 4 oblasts so the soaking up of bullets and drones will continue.
