Also Towahawk isn't basically submarine launched missile. It might be used from submarine , however only special it's versions.
Basic launch platforms were intended fregates etc ships.

Literally it is containers from where to launch.
To adapt this for ground launchers is very easy.

Submarine version btw is more complex and missile more expensive.

U.S had ground launchers for Tomahwak in 1980 ies too. Low number of them.

Literally if possible, naval missiles always at first are tested in ground polygon...
The same air defense missiles, cruise missiles if designed to be launched from ship.

Cos why to use expensive ship and crew initially during first tests phases.
Also ofc lesser risk too ....

He wont admit much , Russia just came out today and said the railway sector is hurting and will be doing big layoffs, auto and other industries are going to 3 and 4 day work week. The banking system is under huge pressure by being forced to give bad loans to defense industry, to people and business's with a massive interest rate. Kremlin is making them buy junk bonds to keep the killing going.
Oil sector is obviously under strain getting struck on a regular basis with some having trouble getting back on line due to sanctions making specific parts and equipment hard to get. The fuel crisis will be getting worse by the day as the hits continue and people will struggle just to make the economy work.
Trump says India will be getting off Russian oil which is huge and he is throwing 50 tomahawk missiles just for a little extra.
However putin watched the video Spinov shows so he sees another burned out village was liberated so the SMO will continue.
Oh and forgot about how all money was taken away from road maintenance and the long highways are all in shit condition and trucks can barely make it to certain areas.
And Russian winter won't be kind to the Russian people this year.

Putin does not listen to Trump. He does not care what Trump, the US, Europe, or Ukraine want. He (Russia) is in this conflict for as long as it takes. I'm surprised how naive Trump is about this conflict and Russia's intentions. No country will tangle with Russia as long as it has nuclear weapons. Ukraine cannot sustain another 3 years of war.

The quality and amount of weapons that the West supplied to Ukraine is insane.

The question is whether it's bad enough to lead to Russia agreeing to a ceasefire and it probably isn't.

Remember that Russia was able to carry on with the second Chechnya war with less than 1/4 of the economy it has now.

The pattern of the war seems to be:

1. Russia advancing slowly
2. Ukraine gets Western weapons and military support that disrupts Russia's operations and inflicts big losses (HIMARs, soon to be tomahawks, etc.)
3. Russia adjusts (absorbs the losses) and resumes steady advance

Things are a bit different now with their oil industry getting hit hard would you not agree? The West are on the way of a 19th sanction package and they have lost most of their loyal oil customers amongst other things...This is not the same as the Chechnya era....nice spin tho
However the pattern you mentioned is accurate but at some point even Russia cant take endless losses with people and their economy.

The planned meeting in Hungary between Trump and Putin is not some random thing either. Putin is looking for a way out. Sure it could be 100th attempt to delay assistance to Ukraine in the form of Tomahawk missiles but let's be honest it likely won't be some wunderwaffe either. The single most effective thing that Ukraine is doing is taking out Russian energy infrastructure and slowly attacking civilian grids. Russia has lost nearly half of its oil refinery capacity(I think I saw 40% last time).

In any case this seems like a proper location to discuss some sort of memorandum that was signed...
