International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

Please educate us, I feel like this whole group can learn a lot from you.

I feel a map can do a better job than I can. Its wild how you all willing to fight over international borders you don't even know.

Is Germany NATO's weakest link? Clip.

TLDR:

German officials got recorded talking about sending Taurus missiles and how many it would need to destroy the Russian bridge to Ukraine. Russia hacked this communication and is now using edited clips of this in their media as propaganda saying Germany means to attack.

All levels of government in Germany want to send Taurus missiles except Olaf Schulz is stopping it. He doesn't want Ukraine to win. He just wants them to not lose.

Probably pretty close considering their military is basically non functional with their "enough ammo for 2 days of combat"

Schultz has been all over the map, he was slow to the game, but then has stepped up in many areas of support and tried to influence other Nato members to step up. When it comes to the Taurus missiles he get's cold feet and his excuses are shit, not really sure what his deal really is.

Give the arms to Finland, Finland gives thebarms to Ukraine with zero stipulations. Everyone wins, except Russia.

Germany historically had long term policy not to sell heavy weapons and long range weapons to Ukraine.
Heavy weapons : from 120 mm mortars, artillery with 100 mm and more caliber, long range missiles ( 20 km or more ) ..
Like till 2022 th....April...

Israel and Switzerland with their re export clauses too were predictable that will not allow even to sent weapons or ammunition client had purchased to Ukraine if there is war in Ukraine.

Sounds good, any reality to the idea?
Theoretically it is doable while practically?
For example Germany had sold Estonia batch with towed howitzers long ago...
In order to sent them to Ukraine time was needed until bireucrats in Germany remowed re export terms clauses from sales contract signed long years ago. This reality....

Is John Kerry's role to make Biden look less senile? When you're wealthy but need some busy work ...

Kerry may want to talk to the Houthis about 22,000 tons of fertilizer dumped into the Red Sea from a ship they bombed......

It is assumed that Russia most likely still does have 5 A-50 AWACS in working condition.....because they now are keeping them in Moscow oblastj airfield....and these are visible from sattelites.

Russia had managed to destroy ukr S-300....most likely radar(s)....

Ukr efforts in Krynky are IMHO useless waste of manpower...and pros not mobiks...

While meat Ukr still does have despite we 2 years are reading trolls yelling mantra that Ukr doesn't have manpower: for all frontline they managed to push reinforcement approx 6 brigades worth in total size....
Yeah there is still plenty of manpower, at least a million or so men. It looks to me like a real draft is very unpopular though which is why the ukranian parliament is stalling. You'd think in a full blown land invasion the public would understand the need for a general draft.

Ukraine has gone through 2 years of war. Those that are willing to fight have already enlisted. Last year's counteroffensive was a costly fiasco and crushed any hope of driving the Russians back to 1991 borders. Understandably, the Ukrainian population is tired.

The problem is that Russians won't stop pushing even if Ukrainians want an end to the fighting. Putin smells blood and he's going for more.

Taurus has too much range so the theoretical crew in Ukraine putting in the data has to send those for affirmation to some base in Germany where it’s decided if it’s ok or not. Scholz is saying this makes Germany a war party which is quite controversial under international law and most say it’s not a problem really but that’s his argumentation.

In my opinion he’s either afraid or has a little price tag on his suit in some way, shape or form.

War has already escalated and Russia already sees Germany as enemy.

Time to ramp up production.

Russia was and is never going to stop until they are stopped. Putin wants Ukraine, he wants control of that region, he wants their resources, he wants the geopolitical leverage it will all give. He's a mob boss targeting someone on the block that refused to pay protection.
