Bit of a counter to the old out of troops narrative...

Hey man, the Russian people love him so much that it doesn't even matter. Since they would elect him with an overwhelming majority anyway, assassinations and corruption be damned, I think what we need to focus on is how the Western Imperialists have backed Putin into a corner and Zelensky is literally Hitler

Here's the thing, 13k is very reasonable- if you have 3500 killed and triple that wounded in two months that's probably a correct number. They are assaulting a prepared position, they are going to take a lot of losses.
 
Damn. I been distracted by the Israeli Hamas war. I just saw a video of a Ukrainian woman dying in a trench. What is the status of the war? I feel like Ukraine is running out of men. Very sad.

20k a month to maintain effectiveness of existing brigades, which implies roughly 20k soldiers lost every month to death & injuries. This is month 22 of the conflict, 20k/month is 440k losses total, which is in the same ballpark as the 383k losses claimed by Sergei Shoigu in a recent press conference. This is a war where drones and artillery do the vast majority of the killing, Russia now has a significant quantitative & qualitative advantage in both. IMO these numbers are in the right ballpark, and that's why we now see old men and even women on the front line trenches.
