If some "rule" depends on context then such a rule is useless because reality on the ground is different in every single conflict, there is no such thing as a 3 to 1 rule, it always depends on context.


Also the whole "Russians weren't serious so they didn't send as many troops" is even more retarded because Russia couldn't properly supply 200k troops, we saw a 40 mile long convoy of Russians who ran out of gas, tractors were stealing Russian tanks because they ran out of gas.


But somehow having 400k troops would had been much better? If anything having LESS troops would had been more advantageous because it would had permitted Russia to actually get to Hostomel in time to reinforce the bridgehead they wanted to build.


Russia would had won if it had not run out of gas, that's not something you would fix with more soldiers it would actually make shit worse, instead of a 40 mile convoy you would have an 80 mile convoy.

Supply lines were getting cut because rus movements were known exact

200k was max amount russia could send, at time russia had 400k pro guys and you never can send everyone

True, but i don't see how more troops would had fixed that issue, if they couldn't properly supply 200k troops doubling that number would had made it a complete disaster.

The whole 3 to 1 has always been an arbitrary number.

Without US help Russia's initial invasion really could have lasted a week and decapitated the Ukrainian government. Russia would still be sitting pretty right now with all the new land they annexed if not for the continued losses they're taking and the hit their economy has taken. I guess when your goal is rebuilding the Empire these are just minor setbacks.

Oh really? I would love to see the US do the same to Ukrainian army with a lot of MANPADs, S - 300 and other air defense system with full intelligence support by Russia / China. Not a single tomahawk or a fighter jet would fly unnoticed. And Ukraine is too fucking big to simply bomb, the US would have to go in on foot and have to deal with the same mine fields and artillery fire.

One thing I would agree with is that the US would not be as soft as the Russians are towards Ukrainian civilian infrastructure and they would destroy all of the major bridges, power stations and other supply routes in the first days of invasion

Russia cannot properly supply 200k troops because they're a mess. They cannot supply 50k troops properly. Or 300k. But they have enough resources as can be seen as almost 2 years later they're still fighting.
3 to 1(which is about local concentration of forces, not the whole number of troops in the theater) or not they needed more troops, including more logistics troops. They would, obviously, need to fix their supply issues. They had an extremely porous front that got exploited when the Ukrainians counterattacked in Kharkiv.

Russia also completely miscalculated and neglected drones, EMW and good communication between different military branches. But they’re learning and making good progress in those departments

I think right now Russia's strength is in the EW department. We'll see if the West is able to supply Ukraine to even the playing field.

Lol if you’re just fishing for an excuse, sure look no further.

Look up force multiplier. I know it is a concept you have not heard of before. Russia thought it had them in spades with things like air superiority and overwhelming artillery advantage. Russia found out along with the rest of the world that decades of rampant corruption left their military completely unequipped for the mission they were sent on.

Russia did not airborne assault the Kyiv airport and lose some of its most elite battalions in some brilliant feint attack. They lost them because the support those guys needed never came. It never came because entire convoys got stuck breaking down and then getting picked off. The battle of Kyiv was a massive embarrassment for Russia and put the world on notice that they were not the military we thought they were. This is sad news for you, but denying it will only mean Russia will remain a paper tiger

You honestly have no idea what would be coming your way. The US Air Force is so far ahead of the world that it’s funny. Stealth aircraft you won’t be able to detect will pick up your radars and quickly eliminate them. Within a few days any anti air systems you had would be down and out of the fight. This is the kind of thing I’m talking about when I say force multipliers. America is entirely unchallenged in the skies and that will not change in our lifetime

Therefore laughable are Russian propaganda claims that Ukr wanted to attack imperialistic Russia.

Just announced the US just added 175 million dollar military package to Ukraine. This is out of what's coming to an end.
