It's obvious Putin rushing to make a 200 billion dollar deal with China to keep his country afloat. He's even willing to pump oil along China's silk road. Xi could end up controlling a massive part of Russian economy. He's playing Putin like a stradivarius violin. He's a pro at using Chinese huge technology advancements an power but Putin ends up the biggest loser.

China is pressing him to supply under their rules and terms and for prices lower than Europe had paid.
Also ofc reduction of white Slavic origin males population in Russia, especially in Siberia is good for China.

this is a good one. The russians are using a new tactic of using blown up armor as a smoke screen for their infantry. the only problem with this tactic is that DPCIM doesn't give a shit about smoke. concealment /= cover.

20+ helicopters destroyed in first ATACMS strikes.

According to Putler "LOL he's a dip sh$t" Ukraine would not need ATACMS if they where winning lol. Does he not understand they are winning but busting Putler's air advantages never hurt. More harm to Russian attacks and remember these things are from the 90's he is getting his crap pushed in by. Oh an Biden has a lot more important things to do then hang out with a Russian thug in Russia. An we all know what Russia puts in their Tea ask the dead guys and girls families.

Great news.
What a shame it wasnt provided before the counteroffensive tho, alot of the armor was taken out by Russian helicopters.
No guarantee it would have been a succes without them, artillery and mines played a huge (possibly bigger) part, but still.

Ukraine displays recovered artifacts it says were stolen by Russians

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Ukraine has recovered 14 archaeological items allegedly stolen by a Russian man who was stopped at a U.S. airport on suspicion of illegally importing artifacts, Ukrainian officials said Friday.

Ukraine’s acting Minister of Culture Rostyslav Karandieiev said the man stole the artifacts from Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory and then tried to transport them into the U.S. At a news conference in Kyiv Friday, Karandieiev showed some of the artifacts to journalists, along with the documentation that Ukraine received.

The recovered items include various types of weaponry, such as axes of different sizes, and date back to periods ranging from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages. One of the oldest is a polished Neolithic axe, dating from approximately 5,000-3,000 years BCE, said Karandieiev.

“It’s safe to say that Ukraine has received a new shipment of weaponry. The only catch is that this weaponry is incredibly ancient,” Karandieiev said with a smile during the public handover of artifacts at the historic Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, a sacred Orthodox monastic complex.

The Russian invasion of Ukrain e, now in its second year, is being accompanied by the destruction and pillaging of historical sites and treasures on an industrial scale, causing losses estimated in the hundreds of millions of euros (dollars), Ukrainian authorities say.

during the visit of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the United States in September.

The accompanying document disclosed the identity of the individual responsible for the unlawful importation of artifacts, revealing that he hails from Krasnodar, Russia.

The acting director general of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Maksym Ostapenko, estimated the value of the repatriated items to be around $20,000. But he emphasized that each artifact, given its age, is a significant cultural treasure.

Karandieiev pointed out that the artifacts must first be restored before they can be exhibited. Representatives of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra complex unpacked each item in front of journalists in Kyiv on Friday. Once the tight packaging had been removed, the artifacts, the majority coated with a thick, dark layer of rust, were put on display.

The number of buildings of cultural value damaged or destroyed has reached at least 623, the Ministry of Culture reports.

Karandieiev also highlighted a case where 16,000 items were found to be missing from the art museum in Kherson after Ukrainian forces liberated the city following a nine-month Russian occupation.

“How long it will take to return our treasures, our artifacts, is hard to say,” he concluded.

Avdiivka stuff is horrible.
From one point Russia might effectively sit and just to continue shelling and bombing.... They does have a lot of resources concentrated for this task.
However most likely due to politicians and nationalists ambitions troops are ordered not only just to attempt encircle this village, also to take terracot with foots on the ground ....
There are a lot of mines ....damn a lot.

Stupidity done by decision makers in battle for Severodonetsk...
1. First phase done almost without losses and there opportunity to bypass and/ or encircle city and quickly to move forward to grab more land....

However most likely for propaganda reasons had been made decision to take city ASAP.

2. Therefore they had quickly sent in city pro teams: professional special tasks forces guys and paratroopers....pros. Real pros.

After 2 days they had put hospitals and morgues under NDA and for a reason.
They had used civil medical institutions and these were under huge workload.

A lot of real pros had died and there isn't talk about mobiks, conscripts or pros with little pro experience. Literally elite level guys with 7-15 years in military under belt...and they were well equipped even by western standards ...

Then they get that fast stuff will not work and started more use LPR DNPR republics guys and regular military to do slow job....

For example when Wagner had started to accuse official military?
When they had lost prisoners and guys like average beginner pro .....they still worshiped Hitler ( sorry, Putin ) and special operation.

When they had lost more really valuable hardcore pros....they started to open mouth .
About irresponsible mine laying and friendly fire cases etc.
Cos they does know difference in value between some guy with 2 or 3 years in military ( not alone prisoners ) and some hardcore pro with 5-20 years in military under belt.

Russia and Belarus are installing software and hardware in order to monitor population.
Most popular solutions are spyware and solutions for DPI process plus CCTV networks in cities...

Reluctancy of Germany to supply Taurus maybe is easy to understand ...
German based companies still are buying Russian LNG.

For example SEFE GmbH is buying Russian LNG and on paper selling to India.

This war will most likely end in a frozen conflict. That's what it's looking like.
We just saw how much some old missiles can change the tide. With a few of the more modern type the bridge to Crimea can be destroyed halfway to Russia. The F-16's aren't there yet and there's a lot more modern weaponry that can be provided to Ukraine. It's within the realm of possibility that Ukraine can spend the winter months using long range missiles across all the territory Russia has claimed before they parachute in on skis to hunt down the stragglers. <seedat>
