If the contact line is AT the trench artillery won't be targetting the trench but everything BEHIND the trench, good luck defending a trench without ammo, food, water, troop rotation, fuel etc, etc.

That's why it was so hard initially and so easy right now, now every single breach can be a breakthrough because behind the Surovikin line there aren't minefields that stretch around for miles, nor fixed artillery positions, trenchs have been easily broken through during this war, the issue was that behind the trench there were miles of minefields, fixed artillery positions and to cross that without fire support was really hard.

Now there is nothing because the main line has been reached, at this point breaking through a trench is easy.

Mines can be placed in a pinch since they are air launched or artillery dropped. The "breach" isn't even a major one yet. They have plenty of time to send up reinforcements and further fortify their fallback line. The attacker also has issues with artillery hitting logistics.

Actually it's all well documented. The number of civilian casualties was in the single digits in 2022. Russia's separatists in the Donbass failed to separate so Russia invaded.

Why would NATO weapons be in grain silos for the export market miles away from the front? Pretty sure they're using NATO weapons to kill Russians.

if you hide your weapons and troops in schools and other civilian areas you're committing a violation, uoure committing a violation, not tbe side that found and destroy them.

these " Idiot baltic countries " as proved by history had more brains than little nazis in Serbia.
They doesn't have necessity to use physical force or drones to hurt matushka cinesse vassal.

Russian army doesn't works "on a pinch" they are notoriously top down and take a lot of time to react.

Also mines don't discriminate between friends and foes, so mines placed on roads and fields used by the Russian army for their own supply will effectively also cut off Russian troops trapped behind the mines.

The "breach" isn't even a major one yet. They have plenty of time to send up reinforcements and further fortify their fallback line.

And as i pointed out the "breach" isn't the important thing, its simply a symptom of how weak the supposed "main line of defense" is when they don't have minefields and fixed artillery protecting them, when Ukrainians actually make contact.

As pointed out, this isn't medieval warfare when the guys behind the wall can fire (as they are above the wall) while the guys behind it can't a trench simply prevents the rapid movement of ground troops, a speedbump at least.

The attacker also has issues with artillery hitting logistics.

Sure but Ukraine currently has the counter-battery fire advantage.

Ukraine gains are not breaching lines, but actually securing better positions to put their artillery closer to the enemy.

You really believe Ukraine hid weapons in +1000 schools?
How did Russia find the weapons? What are the proof?
If its such a big violation I am sure its been documented by the Russians and they can prove it to the world what terrible people the Ukrainians are.
