They dont but from morale point of view it would be good to have family member in armed forces atleast, shows you are on same level as rest of people.Most people in armed forces are not in combat either.

Exposure of few hours on front versus your kid being exposed to missile strikes,sabotage groups and so forth in logistical centres,communication hubs repair shops etc for entire duration of war cant be compared in any meaningful way ( more accurately i cant compare due to lack of experience in warzone) so its up to persons opinion i would say overall

Saying that a president is an hypocrite because he won't send his kids to the frontline in a case of a territorial invasion is definitively Russian bullshit.

This isn't a war of choice for Ukraine, Zelensky has two options, either flee Karzai style or stay and coordinate territorial defense.

Saying that Zelensky relatives need to be on the frontline and then be open about it because otherwise he isn't fit for leadership is fucking ridiculous, for once Zelensky himself has visited the frontlines several times, that should be more than enough to show he isn't an hypocrite.

And even when pointing out he did visit the frontline, some poster claimed it doesn't counts because he wasn't storming a trench or some shit.

Why doesn't he drive a tank like Churchill did! Oh wait....

Exactly, if there was any time it's forced conscription it is now for UKR. If everyone denied conscription UKR prob would have already been defeated ...so pick your poison and live underneath Putin if thats your attitude.

I dont think anyone wants a draft but there is a bigger picture here...you either get man power and fight or you lose your country to Putin and live under his boot....can you understand why UKR needs a draft? they are fighting for their existence
