Polish residents in an area near the border with Belarus reported earlier on Tuesday that they had seen helicopters with Belarusian insignia which they said flew overhead.

Poland’s military initially denied that they had crossed into Polish airspace, but by evening, the defence ministry acknowledged there “was a violation of Polish airspace by two Belarusian helicopters that were carrying out training near the border”.

The ministry added that Belarus had earlier informed Poland of plans to carry out training exercises in the area. It said they were flying at a low altitude and were not picked up by radar.

In response to the incursion, Polish defence minister Mariusz Błaszczak ordered an increase in the number of soldiers along the border, as well as an increase in other resources, including combat helicopters, the ministry said.

In a separate statement, the Polish foreign ministry said the chargé d’affaires of Belarus was “immediately summoned” and that Warsaw “issued a firm protest and called on the Belarusian side to immediately and in detail explain the incident”. It added:

The Polish side emphasized that the incident is perceived as another element of the escalation of tension on the Polish-Belarusian border. Poland expects Belarus to refrain from such activities

- Prigozhin would be awful.

It's kinda pick your poison kinda candidate. Prig is ruthless but knows this war is stupid and un winnable but yet is a mad man himself. Putin is a ruthless dictator obsessed with the Soviet Union's past and is in denial about how this war will end. Not sure how Prig would run the country....

I had read some article stating that Russia had moved Wagner into Belarus and they were going to invade Poland. It's an outrageous theory I thought because it would be stupid to do. Besides NATO, Poland would push their shit in.

Imagine invading Poland when you're getting nowhere in Ukraine.

That can't be real... but here we are.

What the fuck are Russia doing, aside from threatening the entire world?

For border area they doesn't needs radar to spot helicopter.

If Belarus is biting, the same Poland might ....for example to activate and test for friendly exercises S-200 missiles, why not.

While most likely really deNazification of Belarus is on the table sooner or later and 0 hope that threats with nukes will help.
Even Luka admitted ~5 % GDP down despite classified statistic positions.

Most likely Belarus will attempt provocations and attempts to insert criminals and diversants/ terrorists masked as refugees.

Usually Belarus and Russia attempted to catch criminals , till some 2020 th, when they started to gave 0 fuck about possible criminals attempts to cross border with EU countries.

Reality.

Well, with an army behind you, you can become extremely political…

Prigozhin would be difficult but he decided a long time ago that the Ukraine war would lead to nowhere and much like Vietnam would leave a scare on Russia for decades to come. He also has the trust of the African nations as far as grain and he controls a huge chunk of African gold and rare earth materials used in battery production.

Russia are continuing lying and threatening as is their nature. The "wagner" group really arnt that special considering how many men they lost and how much ammo they used in Bakhmut to gain very little. One of the worst lost/gains in the history of warfare potentially. So I dont think Poland is shaking in their boots....

Hopefully this is real and not just propaganda as these could be very effective against the grain deal bullies.
Naval drones aren't something new.
I don't know about modern things, some 25 years earlier was stuff that for example some small drone might carry 1100 lbs of explosives like large torpedo...

I'm a little bit interested how naval drones might work?

Me either, but what is the point of escalating when they're in no position to do anything in Poland?

Mind boggling stuff.

ISW Russia/Ukraine Conflict Assessment, 31 July 2023.

The US should just provide Ukraine the weapons needed to crush them totally.
Sadly during last 520 days more looks that U.S are more concerned about Mr.Putin to keep power and to owerestimate $ in cost of old stuff they had delivered. Pentagon already had been forced to admit 2 very big " small " accountancy mistakes where they owerrated cost of supplies to Ukr.

It's clear that Russia is a threat to the West by their actions. We should stop it now before the problem gets bigger and Russia starts invading other nations. Again, they've made clear their intentions and problems with the West. Really it's not that much money for the US to spend to cripple a rival and the question is why wouldn't you?

Poland would absolutely kick Belarus ass. The number of tanks alone and high end troops would overwhelm them

What threat is Russia posing to the West?
What other countries is Russia planning to invade besides Ukraine?
