Nothing on rus side about the man

Plane that belongs to his company has crashed and is suspected to be shot down though

Edit, okay now reporting baldfather was on plane

Surovikin (chief commander of the air force and former commander of all Russia's forces in Ukraine) has been fired as per the news today. This should be a good lesson for all of us in how Moscow does things: people are not immediately sacked and thrown to the curb while public attention is on them. Surovikin was seen as close to Wagner and Prigozhin and dropped out of public eye after the rebellion.

Putin's method is to sideline people for a while until attention moves elsewhere and then drop the axe when the timing suits him.

Prigozhin would do well to keep that in mind.

I literally posted the above today, so forgive me for feeling slightly oracular.

Of course, it's not confirmed that Prigozhin is dead or even that the Kremlin had anything to do with it... still, if he is, Prigozhin crashing and Surovikin fired on the same day would be one hell of a coincidence.

Do you guys think the F-16s will be enough to finally finish off Putin?
No.

While in some cases it might be cheaper tool to deal with russian missiles than to use Patriot and SAMP-T or NASAMS with most expensive missiles....

Basically if used as flying launch platform they might launch air to air missiles vs russian cruise missiles etc they are using to hit objects located near western Ukr border etc....
Most expensive missile for NASAMS costs approx 1,2m EUR for 1 missile.

Some targets might be countered only with Patriot or SAMP-T...

I don't know number of launchers Ukr had get.
SAMP-T battery usually does irl have 6-8 launchers mounted on truck.
Weakest part for this is arabel radar due lesser effective range than Patriot radar. Otherwise their missiles looks that irl does have better real technical parameters than is disclosed in mass media.

So F-16 might partially reduce weaknesses in Ukr anti air defense because launched from fighter jets air to air missiles are effective stuff .... sometimes cheaper than if ground to air stuff is used...
