There a video I posted a while back of a Wagner fighter leaving putting on the new body armor and laughing at it. They may not be able to supply all the personal with body armor due to needing so much of it in a short time. There another video of a Ukrainian soldier taking some prisoners in and laughing at the state they are in when he picked them up.

Yeah, I remember.
When we had good relationships with Putin, some companies ( not military ) had placed bid for body armour etc.
Their field mainly was very large cash sums and expensive gems etc transport.
Russian company too had offered to sell and even had sent some batch and allowed to test these with real firing ....etc.
They weren't bad at all and results were even better than manufacturer had claimed in tech specs.

It was plain and clear after this famous Zelensky visit in U.S when they told him that will not agree to supply ATACMS missiles and that sooner or later they still will need to talk with Putin.

Sorry, Ukraine also was enough dumb not to maintain their SCUD missiles in normal condition.
Despite old, they are more dangerous than 300 km range ATACMS stuff. Also considably more valuable as combat tool.

ATCAMS with 300 km range is considerably better than Thocka U ofc.
Therefore they should had provided these 1 year ago.

For ukrainians most likely better had been if Ukr now had been India's or China's province.
Why not? Better life, better currency and meaning country is for elite to get $ as ruling class nothing more.

It is in some cases calculated that till today most likely in reality Putin had invested in war in Ukraine approx 5000 b roubles and with weasel methods ~ 1500 b roubles for fortifications etc and for propaganda approx 4 b USD ....
Also they had literally printed ~3000b roubles to keep commercial banks afloat and to prevent some xx key businesses in russia not to fail.
They also had sold some gold and a lot of foreign currency from reserves while Putin and xxxx other beauties are telling that everything is OK.

Russia has not reached its objective. Neither has Ukraine. Neither side will stop having put this much at play for 16 months. Both sides can stop the conflict and come to an agreement at any time. I think it is what will end up happening in due time. I'm not so sure Ukraine is so innocent and hasn't committed war crimes of their own. Ukrainian civilians have tied their own naked to street poles for stealing food. Women included. I'm sure Ukrainian soldiers are not far behind. We just don't hear about. It is a one-sided media. A pro-Ukraine media. Even we Americans have committed war crimes in every conflict. Ukraine and Russia have the same culture. Having the opportunity, I'm sure Ukrainian soldiers would be raping Russian women too. Both sides are cut from the same cloth.

* Interesting. Not sure what the holdup is. I don't know that a one-week pause is a common feature. Why stop the advance if you have the advantage? This will give the Russian side time to rearm and reposition. Reevaluate what? It will give Russia time to also reevaluate.

Some really deep thinking on your part however it's a little more complicated then that. Of course just because that document has been sent out doesnt mean it's 100% true. Unlike Russia UKR doesnt send mass meatwalls to certain death, the loses they have sustained are high so they might be changing tactics which is a good idea if things arnt working. Neither side wants to negotiate or have the war "freeze" for a while Russia can build back up ready for their next attacks.

obviously the Ukraine is preparing for an Autum offensive. Russia will have ran out of ammo and rations by then and Ukraine will push through all the way to Crimea. bank on that!
