Wouldn't it be better if they paid for live captives since they can be exchanged? or is Wagner PMC just being stupid as usual.

Its just a rumour so far so who knows.

But if its true it would be better for war effort to take pows really.

On small level its just trying to motivate guys to get kills and confirm them to get extra money plus cause fear in ukr ranks which will likely just lead to guys resisting harder so they wont get taken as pow

Who knows with wagner wtf they think

Yeah, its retarded all around.

I was expecting some gruesome shit, but its pretty tame when compared to cartel style executions.

Yeah, I won't be watching.

That's absolutely the wrong path to go down for Russia.

I can't see how this will appeal to their 'partners' China or India, or anywhere else.

Big mistake, not to mention a monstrous war crime.

An absolutely massive volcano erupted in Russia.

"
A MASSIVE volcanic eruption has sent an ash cloud spiralling 12 miles into the atmosphere - a spectacle so large it was captured from space.

The Shiveluch volcano on Russia's far eastern Kamchatka Peninsula erupted today and spewed ash over 41,700 square miles triggering aviation"

The presence of Western special forces in Ukraine has been the subject of quiet speculation for more than a year. But it's never been confirmed, until now.

The US Department of Defense is still dealing with the consequences of one of the largest leaks of classified material in recent years, most of it relating to the war in Ukraine.

The documents, some marked "top secret", paint a detailed picture of the war, including highly sensitive details of Ukraine's preparations for a spring counter-offensive against Russian forces.

One document has piqued widespread interest.

It says that the UK is among a number of countries with special forces operating in Ukraine. According to the document, dated 23 March, the UK has the largest contingent (50), followed by Latvia (17), France (15), the US (14) and the Netherlands (1).
I said UK special forces were there last year almost certainly , and some posters cast doubt on that, I'm sure the numbers fluctuate but it's obvious they are giving advice and help with operations amongst other countries, Ukraine didn't just magically get better at war on their own.

Just got updated from my rus tg channels... they are not happy that they are making zero gains around Donetsk city anymore. Marinka and Avdeevka have also turned out as meat grinders, talk about more than four entire battalions destroyed there...

The entire discussion from what i remember was centered around if they are on frontline or not, west ukr is full of military personnel from many countries

Conserning uk, royal marines did embassy evac when things started and russia said SAS was in west ukr (likely waiting to grab big Z if he had chosen evac from kiev when UK offered it) plus all training stuff

they arent going to be frontline due to the political ramifications of capture but they definately have input on operations , im sure a few bend the rules now and then, its in their nature. and theres nothing to stop former special forces from various countries who usually operate as private contractors from joining the foreign legion fighting over there.

What does operating mean though? I think they’re probably just doing training and advising missions

We would know by now if there were spec ops running around, too many eyes and people talking on this conflict ,not to mention ukraine still leaks a lot because they have a lot of pro russians still in officials.

News of informants being caught still come like every 2nd day

They're definitely some military weapon inspectors maintaining security over more sensitive weapon systems too.

I doubt there is a genuine need for the type of door kicking SF types at the moment. We could always get some there quick, as could some of our allies, if there was a need.

I'm assuming that the bulk of our nonconventional forces actually in theater, are more guys that are coordinating the targeting data with the US. That's most likely the big "no one talk about this", SF-thingy we've got going on that we can't just blatantly rub in the russian's faces. The US has the capability to watch virtually the whole combat theater and share that information really quick with the Ukrainians. I wouldn't be surprised if it's along far enough to where we can just ring a certain command hub and let the Ukrainians know that whomever has X weapons system capable of hitting gird coordinate 12345, then they should probably send a round or two right now.

I think that kind of cooperation would be much more likely and infinitely more lethal than a team of commandos.

Yeah I said so as well and the idea got panned.

The Ukrainian counter offensive is coming any day now.
I can't wait, it's going to be epic! What are we betting? 2000 square km in less than a week this time?

Yeah not actually fighting on the front line, but advising, training and probably in some cases planning things directly.
