So he took it upon himself to push them together.

The propaganda stuff launched in Russia definitely does confirm that they will not stop when will annex Ukraine. Openly had been told that Moldova and Georgia are next in order ......
Putin also had yelled that will not sell anything to europe ( for russian public in Russia).
They are blackmailing with supplies cut off and nukes not only just some Ukraine.
Germany etc too. Even France ( btw after this micron increased support to Ukr )...

Talks about new world order most likely likes for nationalists and imperialistic oriented public...

That would not work. Not the same fit and the mortar round is detonated from the front. That is where the timer goes. Air or ground burst.
That grenade fuse piece looks like it was welded onto the mortar round. Won't be throwing it very far due to the weight.

You can clearly see that it has a modified point detonating fuze to which the AF-11 hand grenade fuze is attached to. There is no timer. I dont know about you but I believe Ukranian soldiers are capable of throwin a ~1,5 kg object far enough.

A lot of signs looks that most likely are showing that Ukr is continuing to attempt hold last parts of Bakhmut.
Imho this might be justified only if they does have a lot of mines and IEDs installed that might had explained why they weren't able encircle Bakhmut and it might be might be worth to hold city.

It isn't actually " fortress " or military city , like Severodonetsk and Soledar.
While it is mining industry and industrial production area so might had a lot of tunnels and older and newer times mining sites, basements to store production and equipment etc.
If Ukr were able to install enoug mines and IEDs then by this logic alone attackers should had high loss ratio vs defenders....

While sad reality looks that they are obsessed with Bakhmut and to retake ground for Ukr might be very difficult task if russians aren't dumb.

A row is brewing over Poland and Hungary’s decision to ban grain imports from Ukraine to protect their own agricultural sectors.

Reuters reports that a European Commission spokesperson said unilateral action on trade by European Union member states was “unacceptable”.

After Russia’s invasion blocked some Black Sea ports, large quantities of Ukrainian grain, which is cheaper than that produced in the European Union, ended up staying in central European states as a result of logistical bottlenecks, hitting prices and sales for local farmers.


A Polish ban on imports of Ukrainian grain and other food will also apply to the transit of these products through the country, the development and technology minister has said, according to Reuters.

Poland and Hungary said on Saturday that they had decided to ban imports from neighbouring Ukraine to protect the local agricultural sector after a flood of supply depressed prices across the region. The Polish ban came into effect on Saturday evening.

“The ban is full, including the ban on transit through Poland,” Waldemar Buda wrote on Twitter, adding that talks would be held with the Ukrainian side to create a system that ensures goods only pass through Poland and do not end up on the local market.

Ukraine’s ministry of agrarian policy and food said on Saturday that the Polish ban contradicted existing bilateral agreements on exports, and called for talks to settle the issue.

Olaf also IMHO should had sign re export permit for cluster artillery ammunition for 155 mm produced in Germany during Cold War....

While idea to deploy these old T 54 and T 55 tanks in dumbass in long run doesn't looks good for Ukraine.
They does have rifled 100 mm gun from self propelled field gun and should have really huge ammunition storages from Cold War 1950 ies production....
Even if 10% or 1 % will be usable it will not be fun at all....
They looks that are usable also for indirect fire plus still are better protected than APC type stuff or BMP-1 or BMP-2 or BMP-3....
Also besides 100 mm rifled gun might use machine gun....
For defensive usage IF russia managed to prepare trenches, bunkers and other fortifications plus to install minefields..... they might be more effective than ppl usually are thinking...

I'm guessing as this goes on and Putin keeps the printing machine on overload tis trend will continue .A massive war cant be cheap when you've been "all in" for over a year and no end in sight.

From most reports it seems Wagner has been largely wiped out and now Russian Military has taken over a lot of the fighting. With all Wagners losses and prisoner contracts being up the likely cant maintain massive attacks . Tactical retreat is still best option assuming Russian losses are big compared to UKR.

It is suspected that they still didn't had used conscripts from autumn conscription and had used a lot of time to train them, hired a lot of civilian employees etc to help build fortifications etc stuff.....

There aren't signs that Putin will slow down money printing machines work in Russia at all. Pretty opposite.

From most reports it seems Wagner has been largely wiped out and now Russian Military has taken over a lot of the fighting. With all Wagners losses and prisoner contracts being up the likely cant maintain massive attacks . Tactical retreat is still best option assuming Russian losses are big compared to UKR.

Before 2022 th this Wagner had been mainly used in behalf for in reality very rich african oligarchs.
Average Vagnerite was 23-35 y.o with military etc experience and they were able to hire secretly and in private manner + to offer more than rus pro military was able to offer. Also most likely to train already experienced guys and use ppl with financial problems.
Later appeared that they lowered hiring criteria and later even had turned into prisoners hiring....

Not a single person actually believes 180k Russian dead. I woukd be surprised if it was even 80k. Ukraine is not a reliable source of anything

Ukraine btw is in too high hopes about Vilnius summit....
They already are going with doghfight vs their best supporter and advocate in western world in Poland....and not only with Poland at all here.
Poland does have intent to ban some xx Ukr agricultural export production import from Ukraine for obivious reasons.
1. Part of production claimed to be transported via Poland to countries outside of EU/EEZ actually looks that might be in reality sold in Poland.
2. Ukraine doesn't maintain food saftety for customers standards used by EU. Not at all and not even close to this dream BTW.
3. Ukraine does have considerably lower taxes and expenses for workforce than Poland does have and more fertile agricultural land soil....
So to fill friendship further assistance from Poland etc most likely will be really questionable thing.
