It's not what the results will be it will register with swing and evangelical voters because Pence is largely a good guy in the eyes of many on the right the religious right especially. He needs to be a man of conviction not a Putin puppet.
Yeah. I personally think he’s a good enough guy. He shouldn’t have linked up with trump but by the same account no one would know who he was. He’s pretty soft spoken.

T-34 being some world beater is some of the most pervasive Russian propaganda that exists in the western world.

Not only did they have a host of mechanical issues like you mentioned, it was slow, especially off-road. It was cramped to the point it was a death trap. The armor was also actually shit because of Soviet heat treating methods the steel was extremely hard but just as brittle so any hit would severely degrade or destroy the plates, and cause some of the worst spalling of any tank. Again it was a fucking death trap in such cramped conditions. These issues didn't even start to be corrected till after the war. It was a miserable ride too with steel wheels on steel tracks. And the gear box was so shit almost no one had the upper body strength to even put it into the final gear which means it's practical speed was nowhere near its speed on paper.

The reason is most of what we know about T-34 comes from Russia, and only from a brief period when they were 'open' prior to Putin was actually good information. Then all the rest comes from German generals trying to cope about their loss so that info too is mostly bullshit.

They had tens of thousands of them, and lost more of them than the Germans had tanks in total by 1942, let alone by the end of the war.

The Sherman and Pz3 were just better tanks.

Well, T-34 was tank who like KV tank changed world's trends in tank building ..... even trends in germany etc...

Because before 1941 th mainstream approach to tank building was fast tanks with 20, 37 mm, 45 mm guns and machine gun....

Germans when invaded USSR mainly had tanks with 20 mm and 37 mm guns.
USSR had a lot of tanks with thin armour and 45 mm gun...
German tanks guns then were easily able to penterate for example BT-3 tank from frontal projection.
With KV and T-34 it didn't had happened and armed with 76 mm gun they were serious threat for light german tanks....

Then germany started to produce tanks with 50 mm, later 75 mm guns , then even 88 mm gun king of World War II.. latest 88 mm gun version was....damn capable weapon .....

USSR had switched to new 76 mm gun wersion with loger barrel , then 85 mm, in the end of WW2 USSR heavy tank IS had 122 mm gun.

Ofc speed of production and number of tanks produced each day was priority ower quality ...
Cos Stalin .....if you don't want to be in GULAG you produce tanks as fast as it is possible....

Ofc they had lost a lot of T34....

I mean this doesn't really match up with the timeline of development in Germany or the US/Allies. Germany encountered French tanks before Russian, which had better armor and sloped armor. The Pz VI Tiger development started long before a T-34 was encountered as early as 1937. 2/3rds of the PzIII had already been upgunned to 50mm before Barbarossa. French S35 and Char B1 both had very strong armor. Same too the British Matilda tanks which had some of the best p4p armor of the entire war and it had a sloped front plate as well. The Sherman developed basically on the side lines on its own in America and they still reached the same conclusion, sloped front armor with a 75mm gun.

They would have up gunned and up armored their tanks even if T-34 did not exist and were already in the process prior to 1941. KV tanks definitely influenced the use of the 88mm as an anti-tank weapon though.

88 mm gun was one from best things germany even had designed.

Initially it was intended to be used as large anti aircraft cannon for battleships...
Then they started to produce 88 mm for land air defense and vuala, appeared that they are usable also as some powerful long range field guns usable for ground targets shelling and.... also direct fire on tanks....
Then germans produced also some specialised 88 mm anti tank guns etc...
Equipped with 88 mm gun one self propelled gun model?
Produced Tiger I tank and ....
Crown was latest 88 mm gun version with longer barrel and capable to bear ammo creating higher pressure than eaelier 88 mm guns had used...
Tiger II latest versions had it....

Matilda was good tank?

Former VP Mike Pence pulling away from Trump on Ukraine.

""Make no mistake: This is not America's war. But if we falter in our commitment to providing the support to the people of Ukraine to defend their freedom, our sons and daughters may soon be called upon to defend ours," Pence said in a speech in Austin, Texas."

There is no real situation where America's freedoms would be in any jeopardy for a foreign threat. Fearmongering from Pence.

Analysts calculate how much Ukrainian territory Russia captured in one month of offensive

Details: According to the newspaper, the Institute for the Study of War told Insider that its mapping data showed that Russia had gained just 0.039% more territory in Ukraine between 31 January and 28 February.

At the same time, according to Business Insider, according to the war Mapper tracking group, Russia managed to increase the territory it controls in Ukraine by less than 0.01% in February, the same month it launched its long-awaited new offensive, experts say.

The ISW told Insider that "both numbers are small enough" that a tiny miscalculation could be why they are different, but that ultimately, both accurately portray the limited state of Russia's territory gains.

"Russia gained this tiny amount of land while losing thousands of soldiers and hemorrhaging military equipment," the publication concludes."

All of those bodies thrown hurled forward in the much-touted "new" Russian offensive for a MASSIVE gain of 0.01%.

Into the human lawnmower you go...

Matilda II was infantry support tank, but it had incredible armor. Up to 78mm front glacis and some sloping. It could in theory bounce an 88mm at the right range/angle even. It was made entirely of cast steel of very high quality. Much better quality than anything the Soviets ever produced during the war.

In fact the first instances of the Germans turning their 88mm at tanks instead of aircraft was in 1940 when they encountered Matilda II in North Africa. Many of these models were captured at Dunkirk also which Germans used as a basis for testing.

This is a pretty sill partisan take. Obviously US freedoms are at risk when the global trade order is flipped on its head due to foreign wars. Preventing them at best or controlling the outcome at worst is clearly in our interest.

Well, O, V and Z are letters used by russian invasion forces....

The stuff with soviet flag is real, while not on uniform....
They sometimes are installing soviet flag on mast in occupied areas...sometimes are using on vecohles....
Some pro russian demonstrants in autumn had used not only russia's but also USSR flags in Berlin....autumn...

kind of crazy to realize that the Russian offensive has already came and went and we have to be reminded that it happened only a few weeks ago..

Still remember some chaps around here claiming that the Russians were going to cross the rivers by walking on water like JC during the winter months..

russian state propaganda...

don't worry western msm will report on it in couple of weeks

More like half a day, i saw the news roughly the same time as you replied to me, Wagner did indeed storm the Azov complex but its still contested, seems to me like your sources simply report things as fact when they are barely starting.

so you can consider me as some kind of time traveller

You mean like when you predicted that Russians would encircle 60,000 troops 3 weeks ago?

How come conservatives accept that republicans were lying about Afghanistan and Iraq but leftists think is inconceivable that Democrats are lying about Ukraine now?
