Btw guy looks that isn't attention seeker cos doesn't have yt channel etc...
Maybe cos in one country MoD is very angry because he retired from active service and after this appeared in Ukr....
Most likely guy is 1/2 ukr by biological bloodline....1 from parents 100% ukr origin .....
MoD really is very angry cos lad was A level pro....
They will not take him in service back if he will return in his country...... while looks that he will not have other (legal )problems......

Great way to start an interview <45>

This guy just keeps on opening windows for himself in some very high buildings:

Australia for the win lol. This is not the first time they toast an idiot live on the air.

thats another narrative created by western media... they seem to be more interested in spreading these tabloid style stories than actually reporting actual news
lol you are the Chemical Ali of this thread now! Carry on....

To be fair naval and air power has been britian primary long arm. So having a large navy shouldn't be to hard to imagine since its kind of a English thing. It's kind of disgrace IMO for it to be that small.
We haven't had a big navy since WWII. We'd given back most of our remaining colonies within the next decade, so how could governments justify maintaining a large fleet?

We just about managed to field a big enough fleet to take back the Falklands back in the 80's. But other than that, (with the exception of our nuclear deterrent submarines) all our navy mostly does is do pirate patrols and pick up small boats crossing the channel (well until they walked away from that because it actually increased the small boat crossings!) and take part in NATO exercises.

Being part of NATO meant we could rely on America for help, if say someone were to try and invade the UK, which isn't going to happen. The two biggest threats right now, Russia and China don't really have that capability.

That is true. They do ask a lot of questions.

That is also true. Females are more prone to injuries. I have worked with both male and female soldiers. You can't stereotype either. There are good and bad in both sexes. I have no issues with female soldiers. Just keep them out of the Infantry and Special Operations. That is one area they do terrible in. Women are built differently from men.

I would agree. I think if you just have well set entrance requirements for any particular role then it should work itself out. Beyond basic physical requirements that even a medic might have to bear arms to defend their patients or colleagues, I can't see why you'd need to have unnecessary entrance requirements and more importantly definitely don't lower the standards just to get more people into a role that they aren't really cut out for.

The higher injury proneness of women vs men is an interesting one. Some people regardless of gender are just far more fragile which is a major limitation in a physically demanding role such as infantry.

I was being sarcastic in a sense. Women can kill just as much as men. God bless them if they’re willing and able to suit up and take on the oppressors who are raping and pillaging their countries resources.
I knew you were being sarcastic, I was agreeing with you. I was just giving an example of where women seem to excel in a role which involves killing. Firearms are the great equaliser.

Ukr uses snipers WW2 style "rifle, ammo, food and water" likely due to trench warfare nature of conflict

In west snipers have their ordinary infantry stuff(which weights a lot) plus sniper stuff which also weights a lot hence why i havent seen female snipers in west.

Back when i served no one wanted to be sniper because it sucked to drag all that shit around lol

A .30-06 Springfield rifle is as good today as it was in 1906. From 55 to 220 grain bullets.
* Most western snipers currently operate in two-man teams.

March 14, 2023:
. Euro: 1 EUR = 1.07 USD
. British Pound: 1 GBP = 1.25 USD

Yea now look at the values of those currencies in Jan 2022, before the invasion and tell us, is the USD is stronger or weaker today than it was a then?

I'll wait.

It does suck to be a sniper in any timeframe.
It requires damn a lot of patience, excellent camouflage and masking skills and....damn a lot patience....

For example you might be forced to take position and drilling partners will attempt to determine where it is....
From some distance...
Etc shit...

Snipers might have some SDW type weapon as backup etc but usually they should have " cover " provided by other guys .....
Cos to tackle around ammo and 50 cal rifle for example alone isn't funz if we add here thermal insulation coating and masking stuff etc....it isn't easy.....

BTW yeah, not all pro military guys might be sapeurs or snipers....
Despite how much $ will be offered.....it isn't possible.

Patience etc are required at highest level.....
How strong physically you are or how precise you are in shooting range are secondary things..
Patience. Planning skills. Abiliy to bear uncomfortable position / to keep located in position 1-70 hours in row....

There is one thing called dreams and opinions and another thing is reality.
I definitely know that even when I was young and without any serious health problems.....I still wasn't able to be military sniper or police sniper cos charatcer alone....
Yeah, I then 0 might be super cold like some lazy well nutritioned arctic bear.... for some 1 - 2 hours in row...not more...
Btw with comp is the same: I might work some 1-2 hours in row and then I need to relax....othewise % of mistakes will skyrocket....
Then cycle might be repeated and then again the same might be repeated....
In such regime ofc even more than 8 hours each day might be racked as full productive hours and still in no case 4 + 4 hours workday regime.
My character isn't suitable for guy who wants career as police or military sniper. Complicated things sometimes are really simple....
