So the International Criminal Court should just give up on indictments of heads of states on the grounds that it's unlikely a physical arrest would be made? Is that all it takes for us to give up on international law?

How about we do what's right, regardless of the likelihood of the guilty remaining free. Because there is no doubt that Putin ordered the removal of children from their families and their countries and had them shipped to russia. This is a violation of international law.

Plus, I think it's a little short sighted to say this does nothing. For one, it makes Putin more of a pariah, as he can't realistically travel around the world (absent his allies in some of the shittiest dictatorships in the world who we still welcome him). Second, it makes it harder for him to keep up the myth that russia is the innocent party here. Some of this news will break through the kremlin propaganda. And some russians, for what it's worth, may be forced to recognize the shitty things their nation is doing.

But really, I just can't understand the complaints. Do we apply this logic to any other criminals? If theres a murder that has little chance that the perp be brought to justice, would you like our court system to keep trying? How is it ethical to just give up?

Turns out Rus military is dogshit and @Dexter is a coward who didn't volunteer to fight the ukronazis. Tell us dexter, how did you avoid conscription?
