Russia Collusion Megathread v.10: one guilty plea, two indictments, one resignation

.. never would have believed it if someone had told me in the early 80's, "One day Donald Trump will be President. Some of his people will have sought help from Russia, and a surprising number of people will justify it and say it's unimportant."

What is there to justify? As long as they weren't paying them for the dirt I don't really care

Watching the President fulminate on Twitter is a pleasure
Lol, and so it begins.

I love how he says check the Dems, and the other day was like "DO SOMETHING!" As if he isn't the POTUS himself. Donny even stopped a "lock her up" chant months ago and told the crowd that wasn't important anymore - he just used that for the campaign. Looooooool.

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump said Friday he doesn't care about prosecuting Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, after attendees at his rally chanted "lock her up."

After the chants started at the President-elect's post-election "thank you" rally in Michigan, he responded, "That plays great before the election -- now we don't care, right?"

RYAN: Thank you… We’ve heard you’re going to be announcing your foreign policy team shortly… Any you can share with us?

TRUMP: Well, I hadn’t thought of doing it, but if you want I can give you some of the names… Walid Phares, who you probably know, PhD, adviser to the House of Representatives caucus, and counter-terrorism expert; Carter Page, PhD; George Papadopoulos, he’s an energy and oil consultant, excellent guy; the Honorable Joe Schmitz, [former] inspector general at the Department of Defense; [retired] Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg; and I have quite a few more. But that’s a group of some of the people that we are dealing with. We have many other people in different aspects of what we do, but that’s a representative group

Yeah. A favorite phrase of hers. She looks like she's constantly on the verge of asking to speak to the manager.

I believe that she suffers from swamp crotch and that face is her pondering if anyone else can smell her

Can you imagine the vibrator she needs for that thing?

She probably has one of those huge ones with the boat engines attached.

I honestly don't think he knows a lot of the best people he hires. To me it's believable that he has no clue about those he praises.
He's quick to praise when he hires and quick to say "who?" when he fires.

What a leader.

That's what happened with his Trump U team as well. He advertised that the instructors were hand picked by Trump himself that he had mentored, yet none of them had actually met him.

They just weren't gonna make it in terms of the world of success

What do you predict will come of this investigation?

Just to give a quick segment of the timeline:

By March 6, Papadopolous learned he would be a foreign policy advisor for the campaign. Around March 14, he met with a "professor" who claimed to have contacts in the Russian government. In March 21, the announcement you quote occurred. March 24, Papadopolous met with the professor who introduced him to a Russian woman. He told the campaign about it and was told "good job", etc
Papadopolous continued to pursue meetings through April. On April 26, the professor informed Papadopolous that the Russian government had obtained "dirt" on Clinton. Papadopolous continued to communicate this with the campaign, who continued to keep him involved. . .

Gives drain the swamp a whole new meaning
Ewwww.
What do you predict will come of this investigation?

Depends on a lot. If Trump fires Mueller, things are going to get really crazy.

In the near future, the next 2 months maybe, I think we're going to see more charges. I think Mueller is going to want to go after family members soon (Kushner and Dotard Jr. most likely) and I'd wager there's more aides like Papadapadoo.

By 2018 we'll probably have a clearer idea where we are headed.
