Whats up everyone? Im from Jersey and i just got back from a night time run. Nothing crazy, just something to work up a nice sweat. A hard run but nothing more than 15-20 minutes..

Since i live in Jersey the nights get a bit chilly out. Whenever i run outside at night and its chilly out i always get a pounding headache afterwards... It feels like alot of pressure on the sides of my head...

This NEVER happens if i run on the tradmill at the gym...

Does this happen to anyone else????

I've gotten those before, back when I ran cross country in high school (in south Florida). They didn't really hurt, they just felt like blood was charging around my skull.

I live up in Ottawa, and I run year round, when it starts getting cold, always wear a toque, or headband that covers your ears, and do a few sets of burpees to get you warm before you head out.

i read in multiple books that if u jog in a polluted area(or any area with lots of building and smoke ect.) its actually BAD for u, since when u run u inhale easily 3 times the amount u normally do. Many places in NY are not good to run in, i hate to be the NJ stereotyper but maybe its shitty air thats causing the problem

Thanks for the posts guys..

I think it also might be caused by the pollen and enhailing alot of it when you run.. Plus the crisp air makes the nose run..

If it's really cold, it's good to wear a head protection.
It's even more important than the shirt you wear as it's the head that gets cold first.
You notice it if your head gets very red in cold. You can easily catch a cold that way, or ear problem.

I get earaches from cold wind. I wear a “ninja mask” that is easily configurable to go from full face mask to headband, etc. It helps and is easy to adjust depending on my breath, sweat, etc.

Check out the buffs on buffusadotcom.

There are vids on how to wear them in a variety of ways. I mostly wear it around my neck and pull it up over my face as needed or just wear it on the top half of my head to cover my ears.

The head gets cold first because you’re likely already wearing the shit. And you sound homeschooled.
