Rumor: Brie Larson Out as Captain Marvel

You wouldn't of bothered seeing Endgame without CM being in the film for all of 3 minutes?

<YeahOKJen>

I didn't think that's what was said.

I meant I was interested in seeing CM because of the end credits scene in Infinity War.

Though to be fair, I guess I would have watched it at some point anyway.

So you are basically agreeing the actress is not as important as the MCU formula is. As for you question BP became a cultural phenom in the USA, its one of the few if not only MCU film were the larger part of his bank came from domestic box office. That used to be the norm 20 years ago with the early wave of superhero films, but not now, Endgame domestic revenue was like 30% of the total.

No one knew before watching Endgame, lots of people wanted to see CM to find out why Nick Fury called this superheroine and what role she was going to play in Endgame.

No I never agreed to that. The MCU casting is what makes them stand out from other franchises. The fans love the perfect casting the MCU puts together.

Sounds like bullshit, but if true, good if it means more time on her schedule to do more adult roles where she can gratuitously show off her private parts.

Mace Windu seemed to like her very much.

Not gonna lie. I'll miss those.

Didn't watch the movie or most others anyway

Just checked, it made over a $1 billion.

lol at thinking Disney felt the need to buy "hundreds of thousands of dollars" worth of tickets......guys we desperately need to increase the box office by 0.1% here!

inb4 $500m is still hundreds of thousands.

The fact the detractors believed that rubbish about "it made a billion because Disney bought tickets", shows how delusional people can be, even if the film was rubbish (never seen it myself), well bad movies made money before, Bayformers, the Twilight franchise, Fifty Shades of Grey...etc and the film was connected to the MCU and was hyped by Marvel beginning with the teaser in the ending of Infinity War.

Yeah, I've talked about her range of powers at length with the people I tagged. I probably should have tagged you, @Aegon Spengler and @KnightTemplar also.

Even ignoring her insane powers in the comics, just look at what's she's done in the films. Sure, Captain Marvel's shown us a lot of brute force smashing starships, but Wanda was kicking Thano's ass so hard he had to call in an airstrike.

She held him off while he had FOUR infinity stones.

Wanda's vengeance moments were some of the most badass things we've seen in MCU movies. This is one of my favorite moments from any superhero film.

Her breasts are infinity stones

Don't worry, she can go back doing YouTube. Btw, what happened to that shit anyway?

"Guys can't handle a powerful female character" is such a load of shit. It's a rubbish excuse for bad writing. If Rey had been written properly we would have loved her, but she was fan fiction, not a developed character.

There haven't been many great strong female characters but when they come we accept and love them..

We also reserve the right to complain about the bad ones.

Ball is in your court, writers.
Exactly. Everyone hates Rey but loves them some....

Because Ahsoka earned their respect as a character that was fully developed over time.

Meh. I liked Captain Marvel and Brie was fine in the role. I am glad that they are finally giving Scarlet Witch the push she deserves. Been in more movies, and the character is powerful in the comics and the movies have barely tapped into it. And of course Elizabeth Olsen is far more likable.

I think Captain Marvel would have sucked regardless of actress. Won't watch either way.

All I know is it better be a black tranny replacing her or I outrage :rustled:
