A lot of talk about Bones and him moving to HW, but I think the real move I want to see is Rumble moving up. He looks massive now and if anyones power can transition to a higher weight, its Rumbles. He dominated Arlovski and broke his jaw when they fought at HW a few yrs ago. I'd think Rumble at 6'2 would probably be pretty comfortable and a monster at 240?

How Awesome would
Rumble vs JDS
Rumble vs Reem
or Rumble vs Miocic be??

Actually looking at the top 10, I'd be hyped to see him fight anyone at HW there. Thoughts?

To think that he is a former welterweight...

He's doing fine where he is now, no reason to move up just yet.

Those weigh ins were nuts lol. I felt sorry for Yoshida when he fought him. Rumble weighed in almost at 180 and looked 205 during the fight and absolutely destroyed him

Rumble is too small for heavyweight. Jones towers over him at LHW and he couldn't stop DC or Phil Davis so his power is abit overrated.

I believe he could do it.

I agree that it would be an interesting move. The problem is that all the top LHW's are really just HW's and almost all the HW's are just out of shape LHW's
Rumble against the top 10, imo
Werdum (lose)
Velasquez (impossible to tell yet, but might win)
Miocic (lose)
Overeem (win)
JDS (could win 1 punch, but I think he'd lose)
Andrei (win)
Rothwell (win)
Browne (win)
Hunt (lose)
Barnett (win)
Nelson (win)

So He could potentially be about 5th-7th

He has good speed at LHW, but I don't think the extra mass will help him put out heavyweights and would probably slow down and gas even harder. Different class all together.

I think he is too small for HW as well, but I to not think his power is overrated. Cormier has never been KO'd and has awesome wrestling. The Davis fight was not the best, but he did pick up the win. He does have 15 KO/TKO out of 21 wins, KO/TKO usually means someone has a bit of power.

Big chances to get KTFO'd in Heavyweight both for Jones and for Rumble

Buddy, Rumble already fought at HW, he beat Arlovski and also said after the fight " fuck this shit, these guys are too big for me", and indeed , those guys are too big for him. A 240 pounds Rumble would be just an out of shape fat-ass guy fighting at HW.

Hunt vs Rumble = EPIC. what a fan friendly fight. I hope it happens. it would be awesome.

If you told me before Cain/werdum happened that there AJ would win against Cain and lose to miocic I would tell you to get the fudge outa here.... But sadly, today, I know where you're coming from

I don't mark that as a definite win. Its truly impossible to tell until Cain fights Brown.

Cain in his prime would destroy AJ, but the last Cain we saw wasn't so unstoppable, and the current Cain could be even worse. If Cain looks anywhere near as good against Browne as he did against Bigfoot and Dos Santos, then I don't think AJ can beat him.

I love Rumble, but suggesting he would beat Cain is ludicrous. Rumble could pick up a lot of key wins at heavyweight, I think, but Cain is a nightmare matchup for him.

If Cain gasses after the first round? Cain also has been knocked out before by JDS, and I think Rumble would hit even harder.
Cain in his prime would beat Rumble sure, but current Cain? I don't know yet.

lol what?

So you either knock everybody out or your power is overrated.... rightttttt............

He knocked Cormier across the octagon (Cormier's words) and Davis got beaten worse than he's ever have in his entire life. That fight was a 15 minute beatdown. Go watch it. You clearly haven't. And wikipedia doesn't work.

Anthony Johnson is arguably the most powerful striker (p4p) in MMA right now.

IMO. With heavy hitters, there is AJ and Mark Hunt, and then everybody else
