Roxanne Modafferi Appreciation Thread

Roxy was cool. She was one of the pioneers for the girls, even though she was overtaken multiple times by later entries to the competition and took an absurdly long route to UFC. For someone nearly blind without glasses and with not much athleticism, just thru sheer dedication to training martial arts she went darn far.

Glad she's having a happy family life now.

And doesn't Roxy have the record for being on the receiving end of most slam knockouts? :D Record's a record!

Cool to see she has a account here, albeit dormant. Always enjoyed watching her fights.

This. Plus blowing a knee only proves how fragile and un-battle hardened your body is Vs the competition. There's a reason Thai fighters regularly get their knees bashed in by bamboo sticks, it's to get them resistant to injury. Maycee must of skipped that class
You condition bones like shins and forearms, you don't condition joints by bashing them with hard objects. That would be incredibly stupid, since they're ligaments/cartilage and they don't heal like bones do, so you should be extremely careful how you handle them. MT fighters don't do this either, so stop talking absolute bullshit. No surprise you're one of those people that say 'must of' either.

She had her ups and downs as a fighter and seems to be a nice person. Was never a fan but neither a hater. Glad she seems to be happy now.
