Rousey's vcard collection

It's safe to say TS still has his v card in pristine condition

A couple of times I looked at fight finder and thought, 'well if it was really a fight to the death, that later fight he lost wouldn't have happened anyway because he was already beaten in 2004 so would already be dead when the supposedly best fighter ever fought him. Meanwhile the alleged GOAT would also already be dead because he lost in 2002, so neither can be the best if it was a real man's world of fights to the death', etc, etc or whatever & would (half-assedly) try and figure out who would still be undefeated // alive if fighters really fought to the death, so everyone stopped after their first loss.

Yeah, that would be a lot harder to figure out because you would have to throw out any loss where the fighter who beat them was already dead. But to determine if that fighter was dead, you would have to determine if the fighter who beat them was dead ad infinitum.

But it is a bit closer to the 'Highlander' vibe

Yeah I didn't pursue the idea very far for that reason lol.
Plus nearly everyone has a loss or two when they were starting out so you quickly run out of worthy names. It'd be like 'damn, that guy was on a great streak but even he doesn't count because he was killed by some random can in his second fight'.

So the v-card idea works a bit better, it's interesting how the same names come out on top... it's also a pretty good way of showing who's beaten better comp in the 'Ronda vs Cyborg' debate...

Perfect!

Randa is from my home town. She never fought Ronda, amateur or pro.

Right, but that's not what this is.

Her first loss was to Kelly Warren (as an amateur)
Kelly Warren then lost to Aisling Daly
Aisling Daly then lost to Rosi Sexton
Rosi Sexton then lost to Alexis Davis
Alexis Davis then lost to Ronda Rousey

thus cards tend to filter up to the top fighters

Thought this had to do with vcash.

At it's core, a fighter's vcard collection measures the quality of their current winning streak. It rewards
1. winning lots of fights
2. beating fighters who are winning lots of fights

It's obviously not perfect (not even close), but it's not meaningless either and provides a sort of fun shortcut to grasp how significant a winning streak is.

Despite being on a 7 fight win streak, Gina Carano only had a 12-card collection, which says something about the quality of her competition.

Rousey had only collected 15 cards through her first 7 fights (including amateur).

Rin Nakai was on a 17 fight non-losing streak and only had a 14-card collection.

The fighters should actually do this and have some kind of cards for it.
Would be kind of cool actually.

You honestly think fighters should collect each others "vcards"?:(

You found this on the internet and just posted it right? Please do not tell me you used any amount of actual life on this.

took a while but i figured it out.
TS, you understand how this could be an exponential nightmare, right?
