I believe Tate will pull off a win in the 3rd fight. Ronda it's ready for the top dogs again lol. Mentally she's not strong enough. She have in her mind if Tate beats her it would be way worse than the Holly loss because she hates Tate. Tate has been getting better and better. Rounda has only gotten fatter and fatter lol.

Cyborg will never make that weight and Miesha won't go up, Cyborg is falling even deeper into irrelevancy now that Holm has lost, Holm was asking for the fight at 140lbs according to her manager which may be bullshit but she's still said it publicly multiple times.

Why wouldn't she fight Cyborg at 145 to potentially be a two WC UFC champion. Yes, I think that Cyborg highly likely smashes her, but that does not lose her the 135 BW title belt.

IMO, she should do exactly what she HAS been doing, and follow Holly's lead (maintaining an active fight schedule). She has the belt and all of the leverage now. She can DEMAND that (as long as Ms. Movie Star) no longer is an active MMA fighter that she IS FUCKING defending her belt in (say August'ish) and that Dana needs to get his employees to get the fight signed. Ronda has NO CHOICE except to accept the fight ~ 6 months for now, or refuse it (in favor of D movie career) and vacate the August title fight to an active WMMA fighter willing to grace the Octagon with their presence.

I have never like Ronda, but give her massive props for being the most active champion in the UFC (PERIOD) and therefore the face of the company. That however is a double edged sword. She cannot in any sense of reality expect that the division could responsibly be put on hold waiting for her as a contender.

This was predicted a while back. Some people believed she turned down the instant rematch to see if Miesha could beat Holm. And if she did, she could slime her way to a title shot .

It doesn't even matter at this point, she doesn't have the heart to keep on fighting long term. Even if she got the title back, it's a high chance she will retire after beating Tate.

Man, Meisha really did a number on the women's division. That was absolute worst thing to happen from a marketing standpoint. I mean, her win and Conor's loss absolutely killed UFC 200. It's rumored that Dana was so frustrated the left the post fight press conference. Props to Meisha though as she's worked hard to get where she's at.

So Holm would have went home with the belt because she won more rounds than Miesha.

Except that's not how it works. See Edgar vs Maynard. Holms keeps the belt in a draw but she doesn't win the fight (and Tate doesn't lose).
What would have been insane is if Tate had gotten another 10-8 in the fifth and won the fight 47-46 even though she only wins two rounds.

Good info. Different than what they said before. Holm is as big as Cyborg so I can see that as a viable possibility if she still wants to do it.

Not well thought out my friend. If Holly was 1/2 the draw that you are giving her credit for being, then by etched in stone definition the non-title WW fight would have PRECEDED her title fight rather than relegate her title fight as co-main to a non title fight.

If WMMA really is a draw, than there is exactly one woman doing so, and she didn't fight this weekend. Now you sound like me before this weekend. Why EVER schedule a WMMA fight in the trademark of the big leagues of MMA (The UFC Octagon)?

I agree. She's been teasing the drop to 135 since 2010. I don't think it's happening. Dana isn't interested in a catch weight fight with Cyborg fighting in another organization and there's not enough legit 145ers to fill a division.

I see where several different websites and people posting are saying Meishas first title defense should be against Ronda. This to me is absurd.

Regardless of her two wins over Tate, her several title defenses.....she still got DOMINATED by Holm.

I think rousey vs holm for the next title shot only makes sense.

Do you hate money? Good thing you don't run the UFC. Ronda sold the biggest UFC live gate in history, and topped 1 million buys on PPV. Meisha should campaign like hell for the Ronda fight, and Ronda should get a rematch. Pretty sure GSP got an immediate rematch when he got beat by Serra when he was selling PPV.

Ronda can then choose if she's fighting anymore, and take on Holm if she wants.
