Rory MacDonald explains controversial comments about Robbie Lawler, performance-enhancing drug use

But MacD wasn't hurting Lawler like L. was hurting him; it was Lawler landing bombs and doing serious damage, even though his output was higher. So if someone's endurance would make me suspicious in that fight, it would be MacDonald's.

?? Rory had Robbie on wobbly legs and I serious trouble twice, wtf are you talking about

He can say whatever he wants. I honestly think just about every fighter is on them.

lawler had a low output against rory. kinda like how he fights usually. also, he always had a lot of heard and a great chin, so if you don't wobble him and take him out, he's going to recover and fuck you up afterwards. by the same token, how can rory sustain such high output for 5 rounds?
also trains where MMA's armstrong trains, too

Neil Armstrong?? Cuz GSP was out of this world

Those veins are highly suspiscious.
Is that a joke? Any man who has decently low body fat and trains either has or will have those veins...

Well, I haven't watched the fight recently, but that's how I remember it: Lawler was landing the more damaging shots. Nothing MacDonald did, for example, would have hindered Lawler's breathing.

I think Lawler is clean but nothing surprises me anymore. But people talking about his career resurgence as proof think about it he trained at miltech had success the gym died went with Hughes where he was top dog at hit squad was fighting at 185 to 195 or so against bigger guys and never sparred. Then ufc gets bought decides to dedicate himself to his craft joins a new team spars gets in better shape to ww and goes on a rampage sounds believable. He always had the skill and finally reached his potential.

You don't remember the head kicks??

No that's nonsense, scientifically speaking a very small % of the current population actually have veins.

ATT just reps hard work and clean eating... don’t be jelly.

A much younger Robbie with natural test levels that by nature are much higher looks way more ripped.

And an older Robbie didn't grow his head at all...

Good thing headbutts are illegal because Robbie would kill people.

Young Robbie. In the prime of his natural life.

vs old man Robbie when his body should be showing signs of age...

name your friends? but I'm guessing you won't because they used those steroids eh

it's time you fuckers stopped protecting your buddies and started snitching on cheats.
My friends aren't any names that would be recognized anyways. They are Muay Thai fighters and only trained there while taking a few MMA fights. I know for sure they didn't use anything and if they did it would be laughably noticeable (they are skin and bone with pretty much no muscle). If they wanted to use steroids they could get them over the counter in Thailand. I don't disagree with you though (I think). I wish people would really take the steroid issue more seriously. I want to see clean fighters and find out who the best is. I'm not watching for the semi-homo erotica drama WWF nonsense.

I have 4 friends that trained at ATT (Coconut Creek gym) and they said nah.
Maybe my friends' incidents were isolated or time specific due to who was working there at that moment, but they have no reason to lie. Neither are famous or likely to be famous. I do have another female friend who only trained boxing with Howard there and she has told me she never saw anything like that there. Lol she dated Cole Miller for a bit actually and that dude is kind of a dickbag imo. He left her a super shitty voicemail which she shared with me while hanging out and let's just say that dude had/s some issues.

Not saying for or against, but it does remind me of Stann when he lost to Wanderlei. Most guys throw steroid accusations around just to do it. Stann, and Rory sound more serious...but who knows?

Not that kind of vascularity.

Juiced to the grill.

Nah that don't hack it. I've had vascularity close to that and I'm not a pro fighter or gearhead, just a random dude. And that wasn't even post cut and at full throttle...

But of course it don't matter in these threads. People believe what they want to believe.

Not sure what you're saying bro cause he looks waaaay more ripped in his latest UFC tear but anyways...

Like Rory says, no one can deny the guy is an absolute warrior but maybe a little room for suspicion.

Who knows though, it's not like he comes from a suspect camp.

Great post.

High reticulocyte count just means your body is churning out more red blood cells though. That can be affected by anemia of chronic disease and other anemias where rbcs are fragile and have to be replaced more often than in a normal person. Or if someone recently suffered a major trauma or had a big hematoma (such as from training camp). It doesn't necessarily mean he is on epo. Though I guess its somewhat suspicious though.

I don't know what to make of the LH though. That sounds very suspicious.

this is the thing.

His retics were higher than normal, but explainable
His t/e ratio was well above normal but below 4:1 threshold
His lh levels were sky high but normal closer to fight night

All those things on their own, possibly explainable

Put them all together and it becomes much harder to pass it off as a whole load of physiological coincidences
